Romans 8:31-39 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
31 What then shall we say to these things?
And what do we say?
My Journey nailed me this morning. It read: “. . . Kim mentally recited her failures for the day. I didn’t exercise. I certainly shouldn’t have eaten that cake. I was probably too harsh with my sister. I’m behind on laundry and the house needs some heavy cleaning. I haven’t mailed that get-well card or RSVP’d to the wedding invitation. What a disorganized, unproductive mess I am!”
Does that sound familiar? I very well recognize the language; I speak it fluently! But I should not! Here’s why:
If God is for us, who is against us?
I confess I have enemies; not many I think, but a couple here and there, and yet I think perhaps even they are not as rough on me as I am rough on me. This should not be for them or me. And here is why:
32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
How indeed!!
33 Who will bring a charge against God’s elect?
Oh, charges can be brought and you and I know they have been; BUT they will not stand. 🙂 Here’s why:
God is the one who justifies;
34 who is the one who condemns?
Lucifer!
And sometimes he wears the faces of friends and strangers — we must remember to look beyond their faces and see the real enemy but that’s another lesson; lets get back to this TEXT.
Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
No! None of these will separate us from the Presence of the LORD; but my attitude about them can cause me to FEEL separated, even when I am not. And feelings don’t last but FAITH does!
36 Just as it is written,
“FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG;
WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.”
Yikes! Nothing separates us from Him but we can surely get the hurt beat out of us in this cruel and hostile world. So we must remember:
37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced
Am I? Are you? I don’t always act like it. Do you? But we are not going there again. We are going to press on believing, receiving and experiencing this:
that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
And all DADDY GOD’s sons and daughters said, “Amen and amen!!”

Sweet JESUS blessings to you all!
Got some Ones dear, dear to me on my mind this morning I am believing ABBA to glorify Himself in the messes that have been dumped on them through no fault of their own, just troubles that come with this territory we live in; believing Him for strength, courage, wisdom, helps and an overflowing abundance of His love and grace manifested in His very own immeasurably precious Presence with them. If you have such concerns too, thank Him and receive these same helps and blessings in JESUS name.
