We bought a garlic press today. I can hardly wait to use it. I expect it will out last me. No plastic one this time. The real thing. It even has a cleaning tool attached. I brought it home with a giggle. Life’s good when simple things make us smile.
And more often than not when he’s stretched out on the couch listening/watching Kenny G you-tubes and he says come see this. GO SEE. Sweet moments, simple moments are gifts, let us unwrap them.

Even when life is austere, still JESUS offers us garlic presses and you-tubes, just to see us smile.
I am no stranger :) to this line of movies. This is the third one by this group that I have eaten up deliciously!
To be authentic this year it cannot be about me; if I FOCUS on me, authentic or not, I will miss the point.
The minister was asked how do you do this Christian Life thing? Nikki eluded that it had become burdensome – like a check list to her. (And I have had more than my share of checklists.)

Shall I paraphrase for this posting?
Whoever concentrates on herself; goes on and on with a what about me lifestyle; or she who indulges in childishly wailing: I am so stupid; or is repeatedly lamenting: I mess up all the time; (give me a bucket!) and then there’s the I got to do this, I got to do that dirge — I get the idea! As long as I do this life this way, the Life He has for me I will lose! I will not be the authentic me He has envisioned me to be.
In summary, for me to be authentic, I must practice what I write!

Authenticity.
Authentic.
That’s the me to be in 2017.
Not just with my people, those with whom it’s acceptable and comfortable to be me but others. Not the flesh me but the God-given Spirit me. The positive, believing-GOD this is going to work out me. The me that say yes I can see that is difficult but GOD promises this . . . if we will do this . . .
You get the idea? Me too. Scary it is I tell you!
Authentic! To be found authentically belonging, believing, trusting, loving, and sharing JESUS with all my world, including myself! Authentic, honest with myself about the me I am being on any given and every day of 2017. A young woman named Faith calls it being RAD.
