Got It?

50 Yeshua tells him, “Go! Your son lives!”
The man believed the word that Yeshua said to him and started off source John 4

The man believed the word that Jesus said to him and started off! Here’s the picture. Yeshua is in Galilee. His ministry is young, He has given one named miracle so far – and folks are talking about it!

A Nobleman from Capernaum (about 16 miles ) from Cana came to see Jesus. Why? He had a son in Capernaum at the point of death and he had heard this Man was at least a miracle worker.  What do we know about this Nobelman?

Warren Wiersbe says this (and more) of the man:
“Was this man a Jew or a Gentile? We do not know. Nor do we know his exact position in the government. He may have been a member of Herod’s court, but whatever his national or social standing, he was clearly at his wit’s end and desperately needed the help of the Savior. He “kept beseeching him” to travel to Capernaum to heal his son.”

If you follow the story and you can by clicking HERE, you know the child was healed the moment Yeshua said: “Go! Your son lives!”

And you know what is amazing?! The man went!! He had been asking Jesus to come to Capernaum but when Yeshua said Go, he went.
It’s the sign of belief! When Jesus speaks and we start off in the direction He said Go. That’s faith. Got it? Not often enough yet – but we are working on it!

Stunned and Shaken

This is a mean and cruel world in which we live; horrible, incomprehensible things happen daily and some of those things come close and we are stunned, shaken, and bewildered, and we question what now? This now!:  we are always loved and GOD is always good!

But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;  source 2 Corinthians 4

Let us walk it out for one another in prayer, faith, and caring words.

Bone Tired

Jacob’s well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime.  source  John 4

He was tired.
Really, really tired.
Some translations say exhausted.
Think about that! GOD determined
He would allow Himself to experience tiredness to let us know He knows what it is like to be us!  He knows how it feels to be tired. Tired to the bone tired! Can’t walk another step tired.

Yet! Even so. He set aside His flesh and bone body comfort and offered the woman at the well eternal life. She who came to the well at noon because it was too uncomfortable for her to come to the well in the cool of the morning like the other women did. But that’s a whole other story.

May we see today  that He came to identify with us so we could identify with Him! So we can in His GOD strength set aside our flesh and bone comforts to help someone else in need.
