I spent a moment reading myself this morning.
The title of a post I wrote in 2017 is entitled
STICKY WICKET
Perhaps you would be inclined to read it too. A refresher we could say.
Just click above (Sticky Wicket) and a new window with the old post will open for you.
Thanks and happy Thursday!
Great throwback Thursday, Kathie. We need to be reminded to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves in these days. Navigating ideologies with people who do not hold the Bible as their plumbline for truth requires grace and wisdom indeed!
I appreciate what you wrote: Navigating ideologies with people who do not hold the Bible as their plumbline for truth requires grace and wisdom indeed!
I am seeking this grace and wisdom and I am confident you are doing the same. I have Folks I love and hold dear that I want to see come to THE Plumbline. Thank you for sharing with me.
This is a particular struggle of mine, and I tend to get tripped up by my tongue and emotions with topics I have very strong opinions on. For now, I am trying to just avoid these types of conversations altogether and praying for folks eyes to be open and their hearts tender toward God and His word. The Holy Spirit can work just fine without my assistance, right?!
I think you and I are wise to wait on Holy Spirit to tell us when to speak. When He nudges us to open our mouths, we must but until He does silence just may be golden. I have learned the hard way that the public area, particularly social media is a poor place to confront these emotional topics and even face to face can be volatile until Holy Spirit has gone before us and has done just as you are asking Him to do: open eyes and tender hearts. We can’t go wrong praying and listening. Thank you, Gina. It is my great pleasure to spend these moments with you.
Great throwback Thursday! Very good reminder to be wise and serpents and harmless as doves. Navigating ideological differences with people who do not hold the Bible as the plumb line requires grace and wisdom indeed.
