If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?
Today’s writing prompt. Let’s see what do I want to write.
What a good question for pondering but it only took a nanosecond for me to say just a better me. Better as in Kinder, wiser, more helpful, and doing more good for others.
But to be someone else for a day. Nah!
You see when we look at the lives of others we don’t see what really is. We don’t see what goes on when the doors are closed and they lay their heads to sleep. We don’t see the internal struggles. We don’t KNOW that their lives are richer and more fulfilling than ours.
So me. I’ll stick with me – the me Jesus is transforming me to be. Because He never fails.
2023 is speeding by. I have to ask myself: What have I done with it?
Let’s see. I have loved-on my great-grands and my grands. I’ve done some reading and some writing. Kept house. Visited a bit. And prayed a lot. But there is always, always more praying to do – not as a chore but a holy delight! Now for the most important question.
Luke 10:2 Complete Jewish Bible 2 He said to them, “To be sure, there is a large harvest. But there are few workers. Therefore, plead with the Lord of the Harvest that he speed workers out to gather in his harvest. source
Isaiah 6:8 New American Standard Bible 8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” source
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
