Overcast

It’s mid-week, Wednesday, specifically.  Powerful-Wednesday-Prayers-and-Blessings-2693900952

Here in Lower Alabama, it’s 64 degrees and partly cloudy, my Momma used to say it’s Overcast on days like this. I like that.  I miss my Momma. She departed this mortal life on January 31, 2009.  I am hoping when I see her again, she will be pleased with how I turned out in her absence.  March is a month with birthdays and anniversaries that draw my thoughts to eternity.
Do you have months like that? And is that eternity one of LIFE? I hope so.
And if it is not, it is my earnest desire that The FATHER will seek you out and you will surrender to LIFE, refusing eternal death. I phrased it that way because people seem to be taken with the mistaken idea that one can get saved anytime, just say a little prayer, and boom you have your one-time purchase of your own personal fire insurance policy.  Do you know that is not Biblical?

John 6: 44 For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up.

There’s more.

36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

I think that is all I came to say — Biblical Conversations — I hope this counts as one.

Without ~ ~ ~

Fasting.
A Biblical Doctrine.
Why is it important that we practice it?

Discipline.
To know ourselves better. To learn in CHRIST we are stronger and braver than we think we are; to learn GOD is even more able and willing than we thought He was.
What born from above person would not want this, right?

What to fast?
Something dear, something needed, something that will stretch our flesh to do without it.  Perhaps something we cannot do without, without HOLY SPIRIT help.

The Bible tells us JESUS fasted food for 40 days. Matthew 4: 1-11.

So, how long should we fast?
Short answer – till the job is done.
Till we learn something, till we have reached that moment we know we did good for Father’s Kingdom and our own well-being.

Fasting. It’s a GOD-thing and it’s good for us.  fasting

Enough said?

A Late-Evening Spin

I have just enough IT knowledge to get me into trouble.
I opened my browser on my phone tonight and was rudely told I must click OK because my phone was subject to hackers — no kidding!
The screen offered no options, and no other tabs could be opened  —  just OK.
These hackers were insistent! Not even a reboot of the phone sent them packing. They continued to insist that I click OK.  And I was just as insistent that I would not!

What did I do? I deleted the browser. I didn’t know what else to do.
I told you I have just enough IT knowledge to make it difficult for me from time to time.

Then, I reinstalled my favorite browser and perhaps you can guess — all my bookmarks were gone.
My phone and my laptop were no longer synced.  The device listings were there but no connection.
Color me sad and scared.

Settings!
Check settings.
Check Sync.

Still no connection.

Delete the sync chain?
Are you kidding me?

No. Delete the Sync chain.
Okay . . . well, look at that a new sync chain and BOOKMARKS!
I am hoping HOLY SPIRIT will use this little late-evening spin of mine to make a real connection with someone.

Sometimes deleting what you are afraid to delete will get you just what you want.
As long as what you want does not violate Scripture, of course.
