Let me say: I see the motive behind this word picture I scrolled across today on my Facebook feed. We want to identify with others, we want to be honest, and we don’t want to appear all high and mighty like we have it all together.
But wait a minute, how encouraging is it really for a struggling soul to come to another soul struggling? What are we doing, comparing our battle wounds; comparing our defeats? Doesn’t someone need to demonstrate there is Victory in JESUS?

Ephesians 6:10 – Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Let us give thanks for The Word of GOD. Today and all of our days.
The Bible enlightens us, warns us, admonishes us, transforms us, comforts us, encourages us, corrects us, and gives us direction, instructions, and guidance as no other collection of words on a page.
What does the Father say about His Own Word?
Hebrews 4:12 New American Standard Bible 12 For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, even penetrating as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. source
What does the Father say about JESUS? Check out what just these two verses say:
Hebrews 7: 24Jesus, on the other hand, because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently.25 Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. source And what does the Father say about the enemy?
A lot!
Here’s a sample. 1 Thessalonians 2:4 He will oppose himself to everything that people call a god or make an object of worship; he will put himself above them all, so that he will sit in the Temple of God and proclaim that he himself is God. sourceWhat does Father say to us? EVERYTHING!
1 John 5:21 Children, guard yourselves against false gods!sourceThe New American Standard version puts it this way: 21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols. source
15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. source
These words were penned by John from GOD.
What conclusion can we draw other than GOD said this? And since He said it, what are we to do with these words written on a page perhaps nearly 2,000 years ago?
Shall we ignore them? Shall we take them seriously?
What if GOD at an appointed time asks you and me about these verses — what shall we say to Him?
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
