Precious Readers

Precious Readers I am sending you to another Web Page today written by Shauna Niequist. So far I have only experienced this one page with Shauna but I will read more.

Please click HERE. Prepare to be moved.

Again at this Passover time I have not prepared or participated as I have dreamed one day I will; but Shauna’s offering has given me something beautiful – she has reminded me in a most lovely, memorable way of MY PASSOVER LAMB  (and Yours) Who is our Bread and Wine every day

Love and appreciation to you all,

Day 107 of 2014, praying for revival in the Body of CHRIST.

Before sending this post I have been exploring the website I am sending you to; my eyes are welling with tears. Please don’t be too busy to spend some time there today.

And What Of?

Earlier this month I told you of a new friend; she said: “He corrected my thinking with Truth!” Click HERE to read the post.

She has a book, available on-line (for free) and I’ve been reading it. What on Earth is Heaven Like.  Perhaps you would like to check it out HERE. I admire my new friend and her work; her diligence to study the Word inspires me to pray for such a hunger and thirst for ABBA and His Word for myself and others.

And what of this place; this New Heaven and New Earth?

12 as you wait for the Day of God and work to hasten its coming. That Day will bring on the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt from the heat; 13 but we, following along with his promise, wait for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness will be at home.
14 Therefore, dear friends, as you look for these things, do everything you can to be found by him without spot or defect and at peace.

via 2 Peter 3:12-14 KJV;CJB – Looking for and hasting unto the coming – Bible Gateway.

And how can we hasten that day? And when will that day come? Do the research for yourself but Scholars have set forth that Yeshua will return in power to rule and reign when Israel says:

39 For I tell you, from now on, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai.’”

via Matthew 23 KJV;CJB – Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and – Bible Gateway.

And one of those Scholars? Click HERE. I hope you will visit the site and read.

There is a future! And it is greater than we can even imagine. May our excitement and anticipation build and may we pray for the coming of ADONAI, welcomed by His chosen people. There is much work to do before that day; I hardly know how to take off in that direction, but I am comforted and encouraged that He knows the way.  Your prayers are welcomed. Blessings my Friends!

ABBA ADONAI, thank You for leading, I pray to follow more closely, more consistently, and more speedily; and I pray for enough others to get the job done to join You as well. ABBA, save America and tender the hearts of Your People to say Blessed is He who comes in the name of ADONAI.

Sharing Information

I happened upon a website today that I’d like to share with you. We are counseled again and again by leaders of Christian Faith to pray for the Peace of Israel. It is Scriptural.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

via Psalm 122:5-7 KJV;CJB – For there are set thrones of judgment, – Bible Gateway.

How many facets of Peace for Israel can we pray? Many. I hope you will carefully consider the PDF that I am attaching hereto. It can also be found at the website I visited today: Jerusalem Prayer Team. There is a Live Feed from the Kotel (Western Wall) at the website. It is a connection I treasure.

HowToPrayForThePeaceOfJerusalem

In the above linked PDF written by Dr. Mike Evans, among the many prayers offered, I found this one:
“Lord of Glory, as evil hearts devise wickedness against Your Holy City, I pray that You will cause their knees to bow before You. In the place where You have set Your Name, bring peace around Your throne. Even so come and bring peace to this earth.”  (page 5)

And this one:
“God of battles, You selected Jerusalem from all the cities of the earth as the place to establish Your name forever. You chose Your servant David as the leader and defender of Your people. Keep Your covenant with him today and arise to defend Jerusalem from destruction.”
(page 4)

And one more I’ll share here with you:
“God of Heaven and earth, protect the schools and the school children who are being targeted by enemy terrorists. Watch over the families who trust in Your name. Provide jobs and sufficient income for every family and reveal to them that it is by Your mercy and grace alone so they may come to believe in You, the One True God and Your Son Messiah Yeshua, in Jesus’ Name!”
(page 8)

There are many many others.

I hope you will find this book How to Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem as helpful and enlightening as I have.

Blessings my friends.

ABBA, thank You for leading us; thank You for loving us and thank You for giving us the privilege to pray for Israel, for the Body of Christ and for the Peoples of the world.  As we gather here there are troubled hearts, wounded souls, illnesses and diseases of sundry kinds, and so we come trusting You to heal and make new in Yeshua’s Mighty name.

Forego the Distance

Matthew 24:12 and many people’s love will grow cold because of increased distance from Torah.

via Matthew 24:12 KJV;CJB – And because iniquity shall abound, the – Bible Gateway.

This verse is holding my attention today. For a deeper understanding we have to become acquainted with the broad meaning of Torah. Yes, it is the first five books of the Old Testament but Torah is more.

Look I am borrowing from Hebrew4Christians.com which tells us this:

The word Torah (תּוֹרָה) comes from the root word yarah meaning \”to shoot an arrow\” or \”to hit the mark.\” Properly used, the word means \”teaching\” or \”instruction.\” Teaching is associated with the Holy Spirit, just as God taught Moses what to do and say (Exod. 4:15). And it is clear that Yeshua our Messiah assumed the title of Rabbi and performed much of his ministry as a Teacher (John 1:38).  via The Written Torah – Torah Shebikhtav.

When you read the word Torah in the CBJ or Law in Gentile translations of Scripture think teaching or instruction; think the WHOLE COUNSEL of GOD – all that HE has said to us in the Scripture.

Now return to Matthew 24:12.

Love grows cold when we distance ourselves from the Teachings of GOD. When we distance ourselves from abiding in obedience to the WORD of GOD, all manner of unloving behavior begins to go on in our day-to-day walking about.  Not only do I see counsel here for me to heed. I see that the World at large and in particular America has distanced Herself from Torah – it shows in Her behavior.

I can’t change America but I can allow the Torah (the Whole Counsel of ABBA) to transform me. And so can you; and enough of us behaving in real, godly love will put America back on solid footing!

Now that’s something to ponder on Day 3 of 2014.

Forced Rest

It is late in the day for posting this, especially since I may not post tomorrow but perhaps some will read it today and others tomorrow. I hope so.

I think I have a better understanding of a practical purpose for the Sabbath.  Let me explain.

Friday (9.20.13) I made a simple awkward movement; the sharp stabbing pain immediately told me it was not good; but it was only for a moment and I went on with my business. However a slow-growing pain and stiffness made my business less enjoyable for the next several hours; and then by Saturday morning I was  — well let me just say giving birth to my daughters was more enjoyable; contractions do give you a break in between.  Aspirin and another much TV promoted product did little to nothing to combat the pain. Sunday came with minor and I do mean minor relief. I began a regime of large doses of ibuprofen and a cartilage building supplement as well as heat/cold pain patches applied every 8 hours.  Late into Sunday evening I began to think it might be okay if I lived. :)

Monday was a new world; still pain, still stiffness; but still a new world for me from Saturday and Sunday.  I rested and I rested and I rested. And that resting included sleeping – hours of it – day and night.  Then came Tuesday morning – better but still some serious stiffness and continuing reduced range of motion. More resting, more sleeping.

As I sit/recline to write this piece I am gratefully aware of my heat/cold patch and I am mindful that I will not be reclining at this angle for an extended period. But for some minutes I wanted to share a word or two with you.

For more than a year now I have been dragging myself through my life on borrowed strength. Every day the same; tired and sleepy from morning till I fell into bed at night; all to begin again the next day.  I knew I needed rest but just how was I suppose to get it? Really? Our few days away was great and it had a ring of rest to it but there were places we wanted to see and there were trails to walk and waterfalls to ooh and aha over. And we did.  And then we came home to the same old grind.  And then . . . this!  A Forced Rest.

GOD knew better from the beginning.

13 You have six days to labor and do all your work,

14 but the seventh day is a Shabbat for Adonai your God. On it you are not to do any kind of work — not you, your son or your daughter, not your male or female slave, not your ox, your donkey or any of your other livestock, and not the foreigner staying with you inside the gates to your property — so that your male and female servants can rest just as you do.

15 You are to remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and Adonai your God brought you out from there with a strong hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore Adonai your God has ordered you to keep the day of Shabbat.

Egypt worked them 7 days a week, from can to can’t and beyond.  This world will work us the same with its activities, achievements and entertainments.  It is up to us who have been set free in CHRIST JESUS to say No I will not live that way. We can choose it or we can be blessed enough to be forced.  :)

JESUS, I truly prefer to say YESHUA but for the sake of my audience I most often say JESUS.  JESUS said:

Mark 2:Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

27 Then he said to them, “Shabbat was made for mankind, not mankind for Shabbat; 28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of Shabbat.”

In reading a Rabbi’s comment (I am not familiar with this Rabbi or teachings but)  I thought I’d share this comment here:

Shabbat is a covenant sign between G-d and His people of their relationship and sanctification.  . . .  welcome this appointed time created for us to reconnect and to be recreated[source]

I know for sure that Shabbat (Sabbath) however you choose to speak it is for reconnecting and recreation and we need it!! How you reconnect with Him and other relationships is for you and HE to decide I think and the re-creation of our souls is another choice that HE and you should make together.  At least that’s my paraphrasing.

I’m still meditating on what a Shabbat should look like for me but this I know unless I want to wear out before my time I must observe this appointed time.  And for it to be on Sunday will take some planning; for you see Sunday as practiced now is the least restful of all days of the week at our house.  NO! I am not advocating staying home from Sunday School and  services but I am thinking some changes are in order.

When you have had some moments to ponder this what changes could you make and would you consider it and would you consider sharing your thoughts with me?

Thank You ABBA ADONAI.  Thank You for this forced rest. And I know me well enough to know without Your help and reminders I will be before too long head long again into tiredness if You do not help me.  I don’t know what Shabbat should look like for this little Christian with only spiritual Jewish roots girl but this I know I want it to please You. So I pray my back will continue to heal; that my range of motion will become flexible again, even more than before; I pray for wisdom to exercise and sleep properly. I pray for the will to attend this ‘temple’ in ways that please You.  And I pray for means of reconnecting and re-creation that pleases You. I pray these things not just for me but for my family and friends. I pray You will forgive us for our pride and sin that has driven us to be proud of our busy-ness. I pray Your Church LORD JESUS will embrace that You are YESHUA and Your Feasts, Dress Rehearsals and Appointed Times are for us too and we are the losers when we refuse to learn, observe and give You proper reverence. Thank You ABBA ADONAI in JESUS name.
