Kept House

Oh my! girl

It’s March?
Already?!

2023 is speeding by.
I have to ask myself: What have I done with it?

Let’s see. I have loved-on my great-grands and my grands. I’ve done some reading and some writing. Kept house. Visited a bit. And prayed a lot. But there is always, always more praying to do – not as a chore but a holy delight!
Now for the most important question.

Have I been a co-laborer with GOD?  1 Corinthians 3:9-11

It’s Wednesday — make it count, Friends.

Whipping Up Mayo

This post is written with no specific one in mind.
This post is not for everyone.
It’s just me wanting to share something that to me is good and good for me.

I’ve gained a few pounds since the beginning of the year.

I gained those pounds emotionally eating – even eating when I was not really hungry and eating things I did not need.  A few days ago the magic number flipped a switch in my thinking.

That number was not going to stand period the end.
And tonight while I was whipping up some mayonnaise for tomorrow’s potato salad I realized I really wanted to come here and talk about this.

For me eating what I do not need is a spiritual thing.  When I eat more than I need or when I eat foods that are not helpful to me, it wounds my soul.

When I surrender to those not good for me now food images dancing in my head, I feel bad — physically and emotionally.
Whipping up the mayo tonight, I recognized, hey, wait I’m a happier soul these recent days.
And I know why!
I’ve been saying NO.
No to certain foods.
No to amounts.  And No to the times I eat.
When I say no. I’m not going to eat that and you can’t make me. It’s a really nice spiritual high.
I like it.  And I’m grateful.
It encourages me to know I CAN say NO to anything I need to say NO to.

cookiesThere is indeed VICTORY in JESUS!

That’s it. That’s all I had to say.

Thanks for listening and being a means to hold myself accountable.

Sunday . . .

Just a brief hello.

Days have been full. Evenings too.

Temps have been cool and down-right cold some nights and early mornings.
And other days, children could be seen playing wearing short sleeves and shorts.
That’s Lower Alabama in February.

A Word for today — and the following days.save-image

Just in case you are interested, I want to share this with you.

John-4-2-Cana-and-Nazareth

Luke 4:28 On hearing this, everyone in the synagogue was filled with fury. 29 They rose up, drove him out of town and dragged him to the edge of the cliff on which their town was built, intending to throw him off. 30 But he walked right through the middle of the crowd and went away.  source

Read it again and do some locating on the picture map.
You’re welcome.
Good night.

Good Night

It’s been 5 days since I posted here.
What have I been doing?  If I check my calendar, I might remember. 🙂

What about you? What have these 5 days been for you?

Have you known the comfort and help of The LORD?
Have you thanked Him?

Not enough?
That’s what I say too.

Never enough gratitude! But each day is a new day to rejoice, more and more.
