Small Beginnings

The first week is closing. Obviously, I have not found our groove yet, evidenced by a lack of posting – :) – nor a balance between accomplishments and going with the flow BUT we have had a good time!! And there have been some teachable moments.

Small Beginnings

Zechariah 4:7-9 The Message (MSG)

5-7The Messenger-Angel said, “Can’t you tell?”

“No, sir,” I said.

Then he said, “This is God’s Message to Zerubbabel: ‘You can’t force these things. They only come about through my Spirit,’ says God-of-the-Angel-Armies. ‘So, big mountain, who do you think you are? Next to Zerubbabel you’re nothing but a molehill. He’ll proceed to set the Cornerstone in place, accompanied by cheers: Yes! Yes! Do it!'”

8-10After that, the Word of God came to me: “Zerubbabel started rebuilding this Temple and he will complete it. That will be your confirmation that God-of-the-Angel-Armies sent me to you. Does anyone dare despise this day of small beginnings? They’ll change their tune when they see Zerubbabel setting the last stone in place!”

Going back to the vision, the Messenger-Angel said, “The seven lamps are the eyes of God probing the dark corners of the world like searchlights.”

via Zechariah 4:7-9 MSG – The Messenger-Angel said, “Can’t – Bible Gateway.

Small Beginnings.

Don’t think I will be foolish enough to despise them.

How about you?

Prayers coveted.

Hopefully, see you Monday!! :)

We have the God-given Right to do right in this wrong World,

P.S. this is not an endorsement for The Message paraphrase — please daily read a good Translation of the Scriptures.

Father, thank You for this place to gather and I pray we are praying one for another. I pray we will not let the most important matters to life slip this summer – conversing and listening to YOU. As often we bring our sick and afflicted asking You to heal them. Sheila immediately comes to mind – thank You for her still-in-progress recovery – may today be a good and productive day for her. And there are others: Kerri, Dori, Noah, and others; each precious and in need of strength, wisdom, discernment, and encouragement, as they are desiring healthy bodies. And then the prodigals – truthfully, even needier than the sick – thank You for not giving up on them, help us not lose faith, ABBA. Thank You for keeping on with them and us in JESUS’ name. amen and amen.

Summer 2012

has officially begun at the Thompson house. We are two days into GRANDS. I see signs in almost every room that they are here and that’s setting well with me — for a little while.  :)

They have an honor board for helpful deeds done without prompting and the entries are appearing at a steady pace.  If these two days are an indication this will be a great Summer.  Prayer works!!!!

I am late getting here for a Wednesday. Come to think of it I missed Monday and Tuesday, didn’t I? There may be more than a few days I miss this Summer – that does not mean I will not be thinking of you nor that I forget you in prayer.

A sober passage has been chosen for us perhaps for today and tomorrow. Not with any expectations of you succumbing to drunkenness or dissipation; however the worries of life come to even the least of us.

Luke 21: 34 “ Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap;
35 for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth.
36 But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
via Luke 21 NASB – The Widow’s Gift – And He looked up – Bible Gateway.

Even so let not the Summer and altered schedules and activities hurry you into missing dedicated prayer times and the Study of ABBA’s Word. As demands increase, we will need the strength of prayer and the WORD to meet the sometime ‘grueling’ fun.

So let us keep alert as our days run together, praying and praising.

ABBA, thank You. Thank You. You are GREAT and AWESOME. I am encouraged and delighted and expectant of the Mighty Works You are doing in lives of people so dear.  And for each one who comes here to read and pray, I ask for an alertness and a determined heart to stay close, praising and praying and loving You; serving and ministering through all the days of Summer.  We bring our sick and afflicted asking that You heal them and for our Prodigals and I Waywards we entrust them to You and stand listening for Your instructions how we can help in JESUS name. I pray too for Israel for peace and a subduing of their enemies and for America  I ask for grace and space to repent. Thank You, ABBA. We love you. Amen and      .

SMILES

I am borrowing this morning from FACEBOOK (I make no claims to it, nor am I privy to the originator of it). A picture posted from JESUS DAILY. It makes me smile. It gives me a sweet sensation in my soul as I look at it. Not because I think JESUS facially, physically looked exactly like this.  No, but because I believe He did just as this pencil sketch depicts while He was here on the planet in His GOD-MAN earthly ministry.  Are you ready?  Enjoy!!

Take it for what it is worth to you:

JESUS is the Originator of humor, fun, laughter, light hearted-ness, wholesome joking, play and more!!

James 1:16-18 New Century Version (NCV)

16 My dear brothers and sisters, do not be fooled about this.
17 Every good action and every perfect gift is from God. These good gifts come down from the Creator of the sun, moon, and stars, who does not change like their shifting shadows.
18 God decided to give us life through the word of truth so we might be the most important of all the things he made.

13A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

22A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Thank You, ABBA, for this sweet rendition of the belief of one’s heart and thank You that is it true.  LORD JESUS, You delight me.  Thank You for the day that I will see Your Smile with these mortal eyes turned immortal. Thank You for making this a reality. Not just for me but for every soul that dares to repent and believe. And for every soul that comes here to read and to pray, thank You. Thank You for them, for their lives and the plans You have for them. Thank You for the smiles they bring to Your Face.  And I pray that it will be our first desire and the intent and dedication of our minds and hearts to please You, to bring smiles to Your Face and joy to Your Heart.  And as other mornings, we bring our sick and afflicted of every sort represented here and we ask You to heal us. We pray for the wayward and unlearned and unsaved that You will send forth laborers to work with You in rescue efforts for each one. Thank You for this holy and blessed ministry.  Amen and            .

Wisdom – Just Ask

ABBA, it’s been a quick morning so far; thank You for strength and wisdom which You have promised to give to those who will ask.  So I am asking for wisdom and strength for all my dear sisters and brothers who come here to pray. For each of us HOLY SPIRIT, we pray for courage to do right in this wrong world; to be filled with Your love and demonstrate well today that we belong to You.

James 1:4-6 King James Version (KJV)

4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
