Glorious

Isaiah 6:7 He touched my mouth with it and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven.”
via Is 6 NASB – Isaiahs Vision In the year of King – Bible Gateway.

The verse comes from the account of Isaiah in the year of about 740 BC, in the year King Uzziah died, and Isaiah saw THE GREAT KING. And in seeing Him Isaiah knew that he himself was a sinful man and lived among sinful men.

Glorious!

For when Isaiah came to see his own sinfulness, he was ready to hear those glorious words from the mouth of his Savior: “your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven.”

Glorious!

Have you heard that spoken in your heart?

Then you are shouting Glorious today, aren’t you?

ABBA, thank You that we can shout glorious today. Thank You LORD JESUS for taking away our iniquity and for forgiving us of all our sin. Thank You HOLY SPIRIT for delivering this glorious message to us, individually. And I pray now for the many souls upon our hearts this morning; those that do not yet know for themselves this glorious news and for those who seem to have forgotten with the trials and burdens and pressures of this hostile land in which we occupy. Oh, ABBA, help us occupy in JESUS name and for His sake till He returns. The list is long of people in need and we bring them this morning, trusting You with their precious hearts and needs, trusting You to meet those needs and soften and revive hearts. Amen and amen in JESUS lovely and holy name.

Holy Spirit

Day 28 — The HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD

I am SO thankful for Him. For the work He does. For the healing He brings when we have been wounded; even if the majority of the wound was self-inflicted because we did not quickly enough run to Him for comfort, solace, understanding, and wise counsel.

May each of you today experience the truth that you are securely held in the palm of His Hand, even in Nineveh.  In case you missed yesterday’s posting, click HERE.

Ephesians 1:12-14 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
12 that we, who first trusted in Christ, should be to the praise of His glory.
13 In Christ ye also trusted after ye heard the word of truth, the Gospel of your salvation, in Whom also after ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,
14 which is the pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.

John 14:25-27 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
25 “These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you.
26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

Security

Day 21 – Security

Genesis 50:19-21 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
19 And Joseph said unto them, “Fear not; for am I in the place of God?

20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me, but God meant it unto good to bring to pass as it is this day, to save many people alive.

21 Now therefore fear ye not; I will nourish you and your little ones.” And he comforted them, and spoke kindly unto them. via Genesis 50:19-21 KJ21 – And Joseph said unto them Fear not; for – Bible Gateway.

The security of Joseph.
Admittedly, I am not in the same league as Joseph when it comes to appropriating security as my own. But I’m learning!

What does the Text say?
What you meant for evil, God meant for good.

In this context Joseph is reunited with his brothers after many years of separation. A separation they conspired. They hated Joseph. They intended him great harm. And Jehovah allowed it. For a reason and a season.  For reasons that Joseph did not comprehend and for a season’s length that he did not know. But Joseph learned to live in the here and now security of the good purposes of God. It did not happen overnight, but it did happen.

It is not happening overnight for me either, but it is happening. And today is a good day to give thanks for the Security I have in the here and now in The Great I AM. To appropriate for myself that whatever comes my way today, even the evil intents of others, ABBA, is bringing good from it.

Perhaps you would like to join me in giving thanks that ABBA is bring good from every evil assault plotted against you too.

Sleep

Day 8 – sleep

Sleep is a blessed thing.

Psalm 4:7-8 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
7 You have put gladness in my heart, More than when their grain and new wine abound.
8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety.
via Psalm 4:7-8 NASB – You have put gladness in my heart More – Bible Gateway.

It is a sometime abused blessing at our house – often put aside for other activities. Some beneficial, some not so. But all in all I really like sleeping. I think ABBA was so wise to ordain it for us.

And I think He did it as a means to refresh our bodies, to enable them to last longer, to enable them to rejuvenate themselves, as well as to rest our minds.  Yes, it’s a blessed gift. And yet like many gifts, one than can be abused – either not enough or too much. Each brings suffering. Like this:

Proverbs 6:9-11 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep”
11 so shall thy poverty come as a marauder, and thy want as an armed man.
via Proverbs 6:9-11 KJ21 – How long wilt thou sleep O sluggard – Bible Gateway.

ABBA, must really mean it. He said it twice in the same Book.

Proverbs 24:32-34 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
32 Then I saw and considered it well; I looked upon it, and received instruction:
33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep–
34 so shall thy poverty come as one that wandereth, and thy want as an armed man.
via Proverbs 24:32-34 KJ21 – Then I saw and considered it well; I – Bible Gateway.

Too much of a good thing or too little of a good thing – pray for balance.

And this. Each morning when you awaken from good sleep, give praise. Praise that you got enough and yet not too much. Give praise too for other awakenings. The awakening that brought you from spiritual death to spiritual life and for the resurrection which your waking each morning is a picture of. Did you realize that? Each night when you lay your head on your pillow and sleep you are picturing death and each morning when you awaken you are picturing resurrection.

Yes. I am grateful and thankful for sleep. What it does for me now and for the picture it gives of the blessed time to come – when all Believers in JESUS CHRIST will arise to never ‘sleep’ again.

9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ
10 who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
11 Therefore comfort yourselves together and edify one another, even as also ye do.
