All Natural

When I shop for food, I look for All Natural. It usually has a higher $$ tag attached to it. Go figure – it’s all natural or so it boasts; how is it that doing less to it (keeping it natural) costs me more!

But that is not how this post originally began. Here’s how:

My flesh wants to be annoyed, ABBA, always annoyed or worse. What does my spirit, Your Spirit in me, want when the computer is slower than my brain envisions as good; when the ICloud no longer automatically loads pictures and I’ve tried all I know and still  — they are not there?

My all natural default is to be annoyed; so  easily annoyed.  See what I mean? All natural is not always good and yes it does costs more! :)

Sin is all natural and the wages of sin is death – really high price to pay. See Romans 6:23.

But thanks be to GOD for His indescribable gift (see II Corinthians 9:15) we can have a super-natural nature (see II Corinthians 5: 17-21)! One that is not easily annoyed; one that is long-suffering; one that sees beauty and good everywhere she looks; one that lives in joy everyday. (See I Corinthians 13) One that has a mission here on earth, one she cannot do annoyed. :)

Thank You, ABBA, for a new nature. One that can choose to kick her natural nature to the curb. :)

Uncommonly Captured

Found this cruising Facebook yesterday [source]. It has uncommonly captured my attention. I’m just flat out drawn to it. Kellys TreasureSo I’m sharing  it with you. Perhaps it will bring a smile; even a chuckle. And perhaps it will encourage and comfort, assuring us that our DADDY GOD really does have a sense of humor, that it’s okay for us to kick up our heels in holy fun.

Reminiscent

Long ago when this devotional writing ministry started; back then it was called IDOK – many of us still call it that – (Internet Daughters Of the King), the emails were usually short and to the point, just a verse and a nugget of truth to ponder.  Today is reminiscent of that.

So then, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us, too, put aside every impediment — that is, the sin which easily hampers our forward movement — and keep running with endurance in the contest set before us,  via Hebrews 12 NASB;CJB – Jesus, the Example – Therefore, since – Bible Gateway.

So what is the sin that easily hampers us from moving forward with GOD?   You will notice it is a singular sin – not sins but SIN.  However, in our own minds it might serve us well to break it down into its varied forms; still, in the final analysis, I think, it is a single sin – just one: UNBELIEF. And I think that because unbelief is the root of all sin; what is the previous chapter (#11) dubbed? The FAITH chapter. How many times does it read by faith or in my translation by Trusting? What is unbelief? Not believing that GOD meant what He said. Not believing He will do what He says He will do. Not believing that what He has called not good is really not good. On and on we could go with this.  So not aloud but within our own hearts, we would do well to name what specific unbelief(s) are slowing down our forward movement with GOD. Whatcha think?

Here’s to warmth of heart and body!
It’s right about 36 degrees in Lower Alabama as I set this to post.
