Milk Toast

I asked ABBA a question this morning; we are still discussing it.

ABBA, have we as Western people made You into a milk-toast God – a God Who is no longer Just or capable of being angry at sin or sinners?

Isn’t it true that healthy people separate themselves from close fellowship with others who do them harm? Is GOD not smart enough to do that too? Perhaps a few verses related to fellowship would shed some light. Click HERE.

Why would we want a GOD that does not punish (or at the least warn and correct folks committing) sin? Why would we want a GOD Who is all love, the sappy kind that says “oh any thing you want to do is fine with me; I’ll even stand here and applaud as you do what I have revealed in My Word is deadly for you?” What kind of soul wants that kind of GOD? What kind of parent does that to their children? What kind of society does that to itself?

Has the Western society at large come to the place its people want no GOD or perhaps a GOD that bows to the people instead of the people bowing to Him in love and obedience?

Rotten Boards

It’s an empty space; three boards are missing. JT noticed a little give a few days ago as he stepped on the deck on his way to Sara’s yard. She will often insist for a milk bone. But I digress. img_7292-1And so with some muscle, some resistance, some screw heads stripped and some work with a power saw, we have a gaping hole. See.

I stared at the hole and I thought: well, life happens! Deck boards wear out for everyone. And DADDY GOD doesn’t always intervene to stop the natural decaying process in deck boards and other matters of this pretty world. But you know, I smiled looking at that empty space that must be filled. Yeah. I really did. A gaping hole in a not that old deck brought a vivid sweet truth to mind. Actually it was the truth that brought the smile. The truth that GOD is always on Hand to give His Hand in helps with every rotten board, every disappointment, every dark, musky, putrid thing that comes along; He is right there. No. He does not as often as I like stop natural decay but He always has a solution. He always gives strength to pull out those rotten boards and fill the space with a new, fresh and stable walking path for each of His children who will ask.

Sweet.

Dear friends, if our hearts know nothing against us, we have
confidence in approaching God;22 then, whatever we ask for, we
receive from him; because we are obeying his commands and doing
the things that please him. [source] I John 3.

Strolling

It was spur of the moment; just a Sunday afternoon stroll. Want to come along for a moment? :)

It was lovely on the boardwalk. Can you tell?  It’s long. It’s winding. It’s eye captivating. And then . . . img_7243

Do you see it? I know. It’s hardly noticeable! Just a little bump on the path. No I didn’t fall headlong but I sure did stumble. :)

My point?

15 Therefore, pay careful attention to how you conduct your life — live wisely, not unwisely. 16 Use your time well, for these are evil days. 17 So don’t be foolish, but try to understand what the will of the Lord is. [source]

Kneading Dough

Kneading bread dough. Takes muscle action and if your muscles are not accustomed you get tired before you are finished. And then it happened. Scripture came to mind. May I share it with you? Thank you for saying yes. :)

Honestly only part of the verse came to mind: who for the joy that was set before him [source]. Not to worry, we will get to the rest; it’s too good to ignore. :)

Where I am going with this is a stretch I easily admit and obviously not the average interpretation but . . .

Okay. Come get on this thought train with me.
Kneading dough. A little work-out here. Arms, hold that tummy and even get that core working. Wonder if Baby Girl GRAND would want to learn to bake bread this summer. Hmm. This takes a while. I sure hope this comes together. Keep pressing through. Who for the joy that was set before him.
Life lesson: looking to the reward is a reason to press through and finish what we start. That is what JESUS did.

The Bread of Life pushed through agony and death to give us eternal life, redemption, salvation, forgiveness, and His forever best company in the universe forever at His House!! And in the meantime, I really don’t think He would mind if we followed His example [of pressing through for the biggest thing in eternal life] for our little things in life. Whatever those little things are like kneading dough, cleaning out the closet, mowing the lawn, weeding the garden; taking out the trash . .  . I sure hope I have some young readers here :)

That’s it. That’s my lesson through bread kneading. So even if it does not rise and it does not taste worth eating, it wasn’t without reward. :)

looking away to the Initiator and Completer of that trusting, Yeshua — who, in exchange for obtaining the joy set before him, endured execution on a stake as a criminal, scorning the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Yes, think about him who endured such hostility against himself from sinners, so that you won’t grow tired or become despondent. [SOURCE]

Thanks for visiting with me and reading along.  I appreciate you, dear friends.
