Pansy

From yesterday:
What do you think GOD wants to do for you?

Today.

Today I am thinking He wants communication with me. He sends us messages all through the day. He wants us to see them, hear them and respond to His love for us in them.  On this cold January morning from my warm dining area window I saw a pansyimg_6095 – just hanging on through the cold. (That is ice in the pink basket.) Beautiful, isn’t it? Small, yet strong, resilient, blooming alone in the cold. He sustains the flowers. He will surely sustain and hold us too.  Keep your lives free from the love of money; and be satisfied with what you have; for God himself has said, “I will never fail you or abandon you.” [source]

Never fail you or abandon you – He wants us to know that. And you know what I think? If we will with our whole hearts believe Him, well, that will do more than a lot for us! :)

Now it’s your turn if you are so inclined. Is ABBA saying something to you with the Pansy, His Word or . . . ? Will you share?
Comment or email — I’ll be delighted to receive either way.

The LOFT – Breathe

One Word for 2016.

I’ve almost missed it (and I might still if I don’t hurry). Writing for the LOFTThe Loft on this subject I mean. The end of 2015 and beginning of 2016 found me so out-of-pocket and on the move that I admittedly did not settle and quiet myself long enough to hear a Word for 2016. But today 11 days in I have it!

Breathe!

DADDY GOD has such a sense of humor. :)

Breathe. We do it or die. No doubt there is much to learn this year, so I start with slow down and breathe. Slow down as I RUSH to meet the less than one hour closing window to link this post.  Perhaps at a slower pace I’ll have more to write about my word: Breathe. For now Breathe on me, Holy Spirit, breathe on me. Take thou my heart, cleanse every part, Holy Spirit, breathe on me. And as He does, I will breathe. For complete lyrics click HERE

This Journey

The Pastor (Roy Hill, First Baptist Church, Satsuma) asked a question this morning. Now I have a choice to ponder it and answer it or dismiss it. I’m still pondering. Which means this post might be short.

Question: What do you think GOD wants to do for you?

Notice he did not ask what do you think GOD will do for you, but what do you think GOD wants to do for you.

I am thinking that how I answer that perhaps will reveal more about me than it does about Him. How I answer I think will reveal how well I know Him at this place in my journey. How I answer will indicate my level of intimate fellowship with Him at this time in our journey together. Perhaps I’ll pitch out here an all spiritual response until I hear more specifics for me from Him.

Here’s what I know. He wants to do for me and with me all things that will transform me to the image of His Son. See 2 Corinthians 3:18 HERE. And since the passage begins So ALL of us . . .  this means YOU too. :)

Good start for a Monday morning, huh?

What do you think GOD wants to do for you?

Until then ~ ~ ~ Kathie

A While Longer

I’m back for the second post of today and after a few minutes of reminiscing; actually, longer than I intended but hey it’s only the 4th day of the New Year.

So my post earlier this morning was Keep After It. By GOD’s grace I have. Some years and months better than others – a review will prove that. :)

Writing IDOK devotions as they were called back then began sometime in 2003; they were done by email then; later came the blogging. The White Stone’s first blog home was Blogspot; I have forgotten the first day there and after a time I moved to WordPress and we are still here. My Archives tell me March 26, 2007 was the first WordPress posting – that may be a bit misleading as it could easily be a post I pulled over from Blogspot; be that as it may be – we’ve been keeping after it for a while. It’s still too soon to know the final outcome of the good accomplished and if the LORD wills I’m willing to keep after it a while longer. :)
