Tomorrow, LORD willing, I will be moving into the reading of Joshua.
Today was the finish of Deuteronomy. I am grateful for the gleanings.
I have a picture and a few questions for you.
Do you see what was the sin that prevented Moses from setting foot onto the Promised Land? Aaron too for that matter, but Aaron died even earlier than did Moses. What else do you see? Do you read Scripture with a mind open to hear what HOLY SPIRIT has to say to you? I hope so. That is my hope too, for myself, and so far this year has been the best in recent memory.
May I encourage you, please, to READ SCRIPTURE.
I am thinking of children as I read Deuteronomy 31:12 and 13.
12Assemble the people—men, women, children, and the foreigners within your gates—so that they may listen and learn to fear the LORD your God and to follow carefully all the words of this law. 13Then their children who do not know the law will listen and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as you live in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.” source
Children left alone to find GOD alone is most sad to me and I think GOD is not pleased with parents who adopt the way of the evil one to not influence their children to choose GOD; who do not study Scripture for themselves, nor intentionally and consistently read and impart Scripture to their children. I think this from the verses above. What do you think? Imperatively what does Scripture teach us that GOD wants?
November Birthdays
I am thankful for November birthdays and the people in my life who have them.
A grandson. A daughter. A Brother. A granddaughter by love and marriage. A niece. A nephew. A Sister in love who is with JESUS now.
November is special, don’t you think?
And then there is Thanksgiving!
Some of us list things all month for which to be thankful. :)
I hope my listing (15 days now) is pleasant reading for you all.
A verse of Scripture for today:
Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His faithfulness to a thousand generations for those who love Him and keep His commandments;source
Let this be sweeter than cake to you today that Your GOD Is GOD, the One and Only GOD, the one and only faithful GOD, the one and only GOD who keeps His covenants, keeps His promises to generation after generation of THOSE who love Him and keep His commandments.
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
