What Else?

From the Quietness of the War Room, I asked what does my Tribe need today? Protection I think.
Protection from the elements.
Protection from the enemy.
Protection from their own flesh (their wants that do not speak Your glory).
What else?
Hearts and minds to love You most – before their jobs, their children, their spouses, their homes, their vehicles, their toys, their electronics (and what those devices bring to their senses), their bellies (appetites), their reputations, their every belonging (owned or financed).
What else?
A love that makes them hungry and thirsty for Your Word and Your Company.

Exodus 20: TLV “Have no gods other than Me. source

So what makes a god?
What makes an idol?
An image used as an object of worship. A false god. One that is adored, often blindly or excessively.

So anything I love more or adore more than GOD becomes my idol.

Certainly, I must pray no idols for me, no idols for my Tribe. Help us Adonai to tear down and forsake all our idols, however close or far they may be.

After catching a brief round of media I’m not so sure the word Tribe is a great word choice.
Please know my usage has NO leanings toward the liberal leftist ideology.

Business

Praying for holy changes today in my Tribeyour Tribe, every Tribe.

It’s a good prayer. It can be directed to cover a world of ground. :)

But let me bring this real close.  Intimate marital relationships. In the best of loves, busyness happens.  And I saw a prayer key today found in Romans 12. As the Apostle penned this message from the Father the target audience was brothers and sisters in the Messianic Community. What if we pull this in and let our target be the hubby (wife-y)?

Romans 12: Let love be without hypocrisy—detesting what is evil, holding fast to the good. 10 Be tenderly devoted to one another in brotherly love; outdo one another in giving honor. 11 Do not be lagging in zeal; be fervent in spirit. Keep serving the Lord, 12 rejoicing in hope, enduring in distress, persisting in prayer, 13 contributing to the needs of the *kedoshim, extending hospitality.   source
(*saints NKJV)    (KT suggestion – *spouse)

Without a lot of elaboration can we get a vivid picture here? I see that word: brotherly. I have a thought on that:  ‘friendly’ affection produces friendlier :) affection, does it not?  And for the purposes of this conversation that is more than alright, wouldn’t you agree?

Did you notice that if you take the of busyness and make it an I the word becomes business. Perhaps we should make it our business to not let our marriages become so busy that ‘friendly’ affection disappears; for when it goes, friendlier affection will follow. Got it?

Hence the prayer: I pray we both will be willing to prefer one another over all the distractions associated with day-to-day living; including, but not limited to, family, friends, media, work, and yes even the Church. Hope this helps.  I’m appreciating it but, I know practice is what really counts! :)

Important Stories

From the Quietness of the War Room

Your testimony.

Telling your story; that’s giving the account to others of when you know your relationship with JESUS (YESHUA) was made secure, established if you please. It’s important. Important that we keep telling the story – our very own story of JESUS Blood and Righteousness for us!

When is the last time you told your story? When is the last time I told my story? I do remember and it has been too long.

Do you cherish your story? Do you remember the day with a sacred love? Does it bring a calm and a glow to your face when you remember?

Just asking that you may ask. It’s important.

If you like click HERE for my story.  As needed it can be told quicker :)

Salt and Light,
