I Need to Pray with You

Father GOD, thank You that You shall yet send The LORD of GLORY to this earth again; that He will live and reign here as He deserves, and thank You for every son and daughter that will see that glorious day.
Holy Spirit, I have read that it is Your will and Your mission to convict and convince humans of sin, of righteousness and judgment to come, I pray, I pled for You to do this for the many people loved by not only myself but all who come here to read and pray. I do not pretend to know Your timing; I do not pretend to know the future timing of those things You have told us shall be, I wait for You to do as You have promised and warned that You would. I am aware that people are perishing daily. Even so, I know that is not Your will for You have said it is not Your will that any should perish. So thank You for Your mercy, thank You for Your gifts of conviction and repentance; thank You for seeking out the Lost, thank You for rescuing every willing soul from pits of sin. I pray, Father, to see a harvest of souls. I pray to see people rescued and delivered from the kingdom of darkness into Your glorious Light.  Amen and amen based solely on the Merits of JESUS the MESSIAH.

John 16:8
2 Peter 3:9
2 Corinthians 4:4

This is the GOD to whom we pray:

How could we not?
How could we not seek Him?
What could be more than HE?

A Weekend Suggestion

JESUS is the LIGHT of the world.

John 8:12 New American Standard Bible
12 Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

Luke 23:44-45 Complete Jewish Bible
 44 It was now about noon, and darkness covered the whole Land until three o’clock in the afternoon;
45 the sun did not shine. Also the parokhet in the Temple was split down the middle.

parokhet – veil (curtain)

And the LIGHT of the world became DARKNESS so humanity could come out of their darkness and walk in the LIGHT.

May I suggest a weekend project?
Would you be willing to pray and read some passages of Scripture?
Would you be willing to read and see how it is that the LIGHT of the World secured our Deliverance?
Would you be willing to read the passages with fresh and yielded eyes — would you be willing to SEE, really see what it COST GOD to save you and me?

Suggested Passages:
Matthew 27: 45-54
Mark 15: 33-39
Luke 23:39-49
John 19:25-30

Isaiah 50

This chapter is too full for me to fully know today but may I share with you what I see thus far?

This passage so brings JESUS to mind.
It reads like Him.
It describes Him.
It describes perhaps 730 years before He came to earth what He would endure on our behalf.

Look at verse 4 with me, please.

Adonai Elohim has given me the ability to speak as a man well taught, so that I, with my words, know how to sustain the weary.
Each morning he awakens my ear to hear like those who are taught. source

And what did JESUS say in  Matthew 11:28?
Who else but He could say this:
28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  source

Do you remember what the counsel said about Peter and John?

Hebrews 4: 15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.

Verse 6 tells of one who offered his back; who was insulted and spit upon.
Again. JESUS.

Matthew 26:67 and John 19:1 –  Read HERE.

Verse 7 tells us He said no insult would wound him.
Now we know that must be JESUS.
Read with me my confirming New Testament verse.

Luke 9:51 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,  (KJV)

We need the Old Testament and the New Testament if we want a full picture of JESUS.
And fortunately, we have access to both.
We have paper and ink copies; we have internet access to multiple translations; we even have access to Scripture on our phones.
We have access. We have no excuse.

Perfection with Skin on His Face

Luke 7

In the town of Nain there was a widow and on the day YESHUA came to town she was burying her only son.
If my schooling is correct in the First Century a widow with no children would have no means of support.
A terrible, tragic fate for a woman.

As I read verses 11 – 15 of Luke 7, other verses came to mind (and yes I had to do a duck-duck-go search to locate the Biblical address but I found them) John 19:25-27.

25 Nearby Yeshua’s execution stake stood his mother, his mother’s sister Miryam the wife of K’lofah, and Miryam from Magdala.
26 When Yeshua saw his mother and the talmid whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, “Mother, this is your son.”
27 Then he said to the talmid, “This is your mother.” And from that time on, the talmid took her into his own home.  source

Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. Talmid – Disciple

You see JESUS made sure He left His mother with a means of support after His death (and return to HEAVEN.)
He made sure she was taken care of.
And for the widow of Nain? He did this:

11 Soon afterward Jesus went with his disciples to the village of Nain, and a large crowd followed him.
12 A funeral procession was coming out as he approached the village gate. The young man who had died was a widow’s only son, and a large crowd from the village was with her.
13 When the Lord saw her, his heart overflowed with compassion. “Don’t cry!” he said.
14 Then he walked over to the coffin and touched it, and the bearers stopped. “Young man,” he said, “I tell you, get up.”
15 Then the dead boy sat up and began to talk! And Jesus gave him back to his mother.  source

I don’t know about you but this is just one of the passages that let me know JESUS was/is PERFECT MAN and PERFECT GOD.
