With Practice

My note to me after reading 2 Corinthians 1:3 is “There is no comfort I desire that He cannot give.

Here’s the verse: Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;  source

Do you see that word ALL?
What does all mean?
ALL.

Let’s go back to my note. There is no comfort I desire that He cannot give. He is the GOD of ALL comfort; meaning no comfort I seek, He cannot provide.

When I seek comfort in food – I am really seeking Him.
When I seek comfort in companionship – I am really seeking Him.
When I seek comfort in things – I am really seeking Him.
Whatever comfort I am seeking – It’s Really Him that I am seeking. Question is will I acknowledge this? Will, I acknowledge it is Him I really need? With practice.
With practice, I will.

And You Say?

Romans 4:3 says Abraham believed God.

For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.  source

What if the Text read Abraham believed in GOD; is there a difference?

If we could poll the masses, I think we would find that millions of people would tell us they believe in GOD.
But do they Believe GOD?

Is there a difference?
And which are you?
In or believe Him?

What Do You Think?

Nehemiah 9
Those of Israelite descent separated themselves from all foreigners as they confessed their own sins and the sins of their ancestors. They remained standing in place for three hours while the Book of the Law of the Lord their God was read aloud to them. Then for three more hours they confessed their sins and worshiped the Lord their God.   source

What if in this coronavirus crisis we did this? We are social distancing already. What if we allowed ourselves to be drawn to GOD while we are separated from one another? What if we asked The Holy Spirit to show us our sins and when He does, confess them and turn away from them? What if we prayed for We the People to confess and repent?
Verse. 3. Look what else they did. They read The Bible! Well, actually they read The Sacred Scrolls. We have The Holy Bible.
And they worshipped!

What if we did this? What do you think would happen?
And one more question. Why would you not; why would you not invest this time this way?

Therefore

Question. Have you read Romans 1:21-32 lately?

In verse 24, we dare not miss the word, Therefore.  I suppose, you like I, have heard it said when you see a therefore in Scripture, we must ask ourselves what it’s there for. So I do and I did.

Verses 21, 22 and 23 speak of idols; for humans to engage in idol worship something must first occur. Verse 21 tells us what that is.  THEY DID NOT HONOR HIM AS GOD OR GIVE THANKS. ON THE CONTRARY, THEY BECAME WORTHLESS IN THEIR THINKING.

When mankind begins and continues to think they know more than GOD, refuse to honor Him with their day to day living, they become idol worshippers. Is that not what it says?

And as man (and woman too, of course) becomes more and more involved in this worship of creatures rather than the Creator something else happens.

Verse 24.

Therefore.

God gave them over. We can push GOD away so many times that He turns us over to our own way.

Go ahead, read the Text. And when you do you will find GOD is not politically correct, He’s just correct; forever and always correct. Once man and woman have pushed Thus Saith the LORD from their minds, hearts, and will time after time, look what follows.  Every imaginable sin is committed and flaunted by these people. Sexual perversion is not the only sin listed but it is listed. Read. Read the Text for yourself. Click HERE.

Now. Therefore. What actions do we need to take today?
