Fortunate

As I begin to write, I have doubts this writing will make post; unless the Sweet HOLY SPIRIT cleans it up. You see I am way angry tonight and have been almost all day. I’m angry at greed, corruption and the lack of power I FEEL to correct or fight against injustice.

One I am angry that hubby and I had to pay out today for something that I am quite certain when I get one more piece of evidence will show the expenditure was graft.

Two I am angry that banking establishments have set legal albeit unethical procedures in place for the sole purpose of increasing their profits at our expense.

Three I am angry that I personally cannot reason with the powers that be (or their blind followers) who are destroying this Nation.

Four I am angry that without a turn of events that I cannot fathom, in November I will have no choice but to vote for a candidate that does not deserve my vote.

Five I am angry that here and there and just about everywhere I look, there is willful blindness, greed, idolatry, waste, reprobate living, just out-and-out stupidity.

I’m not the only one who sees it this way.

Romans 1:21-22Amplified Bible (AMP)
21 Because when they knew and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened.
22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools [professing to be smart, they made simpletons of themselves].

Ephesians 4:17-19 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them because of the blindness of their heart,
19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over unto lasciviousness to work all uncleanness with greediness.

2 Peter 3:3 knowing this first: that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts
4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”
5 For of this they are willfully ignorant: . . .

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing: that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat. The earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy manner of living and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening unto the coming of the Day of God, wherein the heavens, being on fire, shall be dissolved and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Therefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless.

How fortunate for this Nation that the Author of this Scripture is in deed merciful and long-suffering. How fortunate for me He is in complete control. And somehow before I lay my head on my pillow tonight I will by His grace release this anger to Him, receiving His grace to trust and continue to occupy in this hostile land until He returns.

Your prayers for me to remain faithful in this perverse generation are appreciated.

1 John 1:9 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

How Do You Read It?

My Bible was open on my desk. I looked down and began to read without turning a page.

Habakkuk 2.

I read it in the NASB. In the Message Bible. In the New Living Translation. In all three, the message is the same  – the Nation that forgets God is doomed to destruction.

3 “For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.

Choose your translation and tell me what you see.  Particularly in the New Living Translation, verse 12 do you think of Planned Parenthood (and abortion mill ‘physicians’) getting rich on the blood of aborted babies? In verse 4 do you see politicians?

In verse 1 of the NASB do you see us standing guard; waiting to hear from ABBA; waiting to hear what directives He will give us to aid in the rescue those who will listen? I did. And I wonder when I will act instead of just talk (and write).

Third Monday of 2012.

Can you believe it?

So how is this new year going for you? Did you make New Year’s Resolutions? And are you still keeping them? Just curious.

Did you enjoy yesterday’s You Tube? Have you really meditated the words lately?

1.      Just as I am, without one plea,

but that thy blood was shed for me,

and that thou bidst me come to thee,

O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

2.      Just as I am, and waiting not

to rid my soul of one dark blot,

to thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,

O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, without one plea – no more trying to be good enough! And no more looking for other ways, no more looking to myself or others to save me; finally now standing on only one sure FACT: that the blood of JESUS CHRIST is enough to save ME! And moreover that HE, The Lamb of God, is offering His salvation to ME! And I am saying YES!

Now, isn’t that what this verse is proclaiming? Let us look at verse two.

Just as I am, and waiting not – no more excuses, no more ‘not now(s)’ but today; today is the day! Today I say yes. Today I will be rid of this deep dark emptiness. Today I will be clean; today not one sin will remain clinging to me; today The Lamb of GOD is making me clean. Today I come, just as I am to Him.

There are four more verses. You try it.

1 Chronicles 17:16 The Message (MSG)
16-27 King David went in, took his place before God, and prayed:

Who am I, my Master God, and what is my family, that you have brought me to this place in life? But that’s nothing compared to what’s coming, for you’ve also spoken of my family far into the future, given me a glimpse into tomorrow and looked on me, Master God, as a Somebody. What’s left for David to say to this—to your honoring your servant, even though you know me, just as I am? O God, out of the goodness of your heart, you’ve taken your servant to do this great thing and put your great work on display. There’s none like you, God, no God but you, nothing to compare with what we’ve heard with our own ears. And who is like your people, like Israel, a nation unique on earth, whom God set out to redeem as his own people (and became most famous for it), performing great and fearsome acts, throwing out nations and their gods left and right as you saved your people from Egypt? You established for yourself a people—your very own Israel!—your people forever. And you, God, became their God.

So now, great God, this word that you have spoken to me and my family, guarantee it forever! Do exactly what you’ve promised! Then your reputation will be confirmed and flourish always as people exclaim, “The God-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God over Israel, is Israel’s God!” And the house of your servant David will remain rock solid under your watchful presence. You, my God, have told me plainly, “I will build you a house.” That’s how I was able to find the courage to pray this prayer to you. God, being the God you are, you have spoken all these wonderful words to me. As if that weren’t enough, you’ve blessed my family so that it will continue in your presence always. Because you have blessed it, God, it’s really blessed—blessed for good!
