Owning Our Own . . .

As I was praying and working on my praying cards (which are index cards, some folks have individual cards with my desires for them and Scripture to pray over them) today a particular need came to the forefront – tithing. Not a favorite subject of many. But it is what it is – an act of obedience, a crucial one.

For sure, GOD does not need one thin dime from any one of us but we so need to give it. And how much? ALL of it! The tithe (10% of your earnings) is only a start. We should be faithful stewards NOT owners of all the monies in our coffers. You see owning our own money will make us very poor indeed.

Hear the Word of the LORD:

8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings.
9 You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you!
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.
11 Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the LORD of hosts.
12 “All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land,” says the LORD of hosts.

Did you get that?
And now here it gets uncomfortable for me just on the outside chance that not all The White Stone’s email subscribers are (Faithful) Stewards. Truth is if you are not the Faithful Steward as described above then you are the Robber described above. And did you also get that those outside the Faith see Faithful Stewards (Tithers) as Blessed People. Perhaps one of the reasons folks remain lost is because so many who profess the name of JESUS are Robbers of God. Pretty sad, isn’t it?

You see being a Faithful Steward (Tither) is all about faith and trust. We either believe GOD is faithful to His Word to us or we don’t.

I have one more Text to share before I close today.

18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the Most High God.
19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the Most High God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20 And blessed be the Most High God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
via Genesis 14 KJV – And it came to pass in the days of – Bible Gateway.

Do you see it? Do you see that Abram gave tithe with a willing, grateful heart? Do you see that he gave because the Most High God had been good to him?

Has the Most High God been good to you?

And now since for sure none of The White Stone subscribes fit into the not a Faithful Steward company, this nugget is for you.

Blessed be Abram of the Most High God.  (Spoken by Melchizedek to Abram)
Blessed be Kathie of the Most High God. (Spoken by GOD to me)
Let me tell that does something for me!!!

Go ahead. Try it on! Fill in your name.

Blessed be _______________ of the Most High God. (Spoken by GOD to You!)

Settle in under that today.

Please pray for the folks who need us. Click HERE for their names.

Today is praying for you specifically by name and matter, if you’d like to email me with your request, I’d be pleased to pray.

Barnyard Talk

Proverbs 14:4 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
4 Where no oxen are, the manger is clean, But much revenue comes by the strength of the ox.
via Prov 14:4 NASB – Where no oxen are the manger is clean – Bible Gateway.

I am a simple-minded, long removed from the country-girl woman. However as I share what I see in today’s verse it will confirm to you that getting the country out of the girl is a long process. :)

Obviously, in a barn (manger) without oxen (cows, horses, or mules, same principle) there is no poop, no hold your nose smell and no messy clean up.But that is not all there isn’t in a barn without oxen. Neither is there fertilizer – a much-needed commodity to grow rich, healthy foods and neither is there strength to pull the plow to till the ground to grow the crops.

Babies.
Babies are messy. They too poop and smell up the place but love makes them worth every smelly diaper, two o’clock feedings, all night floor pacing and the list goes on and on.

People – family – friends.
Sometimes they are messy too. They stink up our lives sometimes with the things they do and say.

So what am I saying? A life lived in love gets messy and sometimes it just down right stinks! BUT the rewards are worth it!  Enriching the lives of others, seeing the Holy Spirit ‘fertilize’, water and cultivate the seeds you have sown in the heart of a messy soul is worth it all when the fruit of holiness begins to peek its glorious head.

Proverbs 14:4 Where no oxen are, the manger is clean, But much revenue comes by the strength of the ox.

Barnyard animals and Messy People — how you handle them just might make you rich.  :)

HOLY SPIRIT,  I pray the ‘humor’ of this piece of writing will be useful and will be a tool fit for teaching Your Truth to receptive hearts. I pray we will apply ourselves to knowing Your Word and allow Your Word to equip us to love wisely the messy people in our lives; to love them so much they come looking for You. Amen and amen.

Wednesdays – IDOKs Praying

I am missing you all.
While I am grateful for the CPC time and I hope you are blessed in the sharing again posts, it’s not the same for me. :) And I would love to tell you I have been SO productive and I have all 6 of the Gals of Scripture messages written and ready to give but I’d be lying like a dog in the warm sunshine if I did. But at this moment, I’ll say no more about that.

I will say I’m enjoying JESUS. Enjoying day-to-day activities. Enjoying housekeeping privileges — getting more of them done these days. Enjoying juicing fruits, not so much veggies yet. Enjoying kneading and baking bread; experimenting with combining multiple flours — got a good result yesterday. :) Perhaps all this enjoying reflects the not so much ready for GOS. I’m rambling now. On to the reason for this Wednesday morning hello.

I really just wanted to say hello; tell you I miss our ‘fresh’ times together and to let you know that Wednesdays are my days to specifically call your names individually in prayer — that is the names I am privy to via email subscription. And since I am praying for you individually by name, IF you have something specific of concern today, shoot me an email and I will pray with you. Click HERE to email me.

Mark 1:35 In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there.

Mark 11:25 Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions.

Luke 21:36 But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
