A Late-Evening Spin

I have just enough IT knowledge to get me into trouble.
I opened my browser on my phone tonight and was rudely told I must click OK because my phone was subject to hackers — no kidding!
The screen offered no options, and no other tabs could be opened  —  just OK.
These hackers were insistent! Not even a reboot of the phone sent them packing. They continued to insist that I click OK.  And I was just as insistent that I would not!

What did I do? I deleted the browser. I didn’t know what else to do.
I told you I have just enough IT knowledge to make it difficult for me from time to time.

Then, I reinstalled my favorite browser and perhaps you can guess — all my bookmarks were gone.
My phone and my laptop were no longer synced.  The device listings were there but no connection.
Color me sad and scared.

Settings!
Check settings.
Check Sync.

Still no connection.

Delete the sync chain?
Are you kidding me?

No. Delete the Sync chain.
Okay . . . well, look at that a new sync chain and BOOKMARKS!
I am hoping HOLY SPIRIT will use this little late-evening spin of mine to make a real connection with someone.

Sometimes deleting what you are afraid to delete will get you just what you want.
As long as what you want does not violate Scripture, of course.

Clocks! Again!

Spring forward.
Here’s what it means to me, 1 less hour of sleep tonight, and the sun will be at just the right angle again to blind me when I head across the Bay to work next week. 132827584_web1_springfo-3872634478

But it’s all good.

And here’s why.

I Thessalonians 5.

16 Rejoice at all times.
17
Pray without ceasing.
18
Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
19 Do not extinguish the Spirit.
20
Do not treat prophecies with contempt,
21
but test all things. Hold fast to what is good.
22
Abstain from every form of evil.

Missing Tears

Why are people immune to HOLY SPIRIT?
I mean it is His job (John 16:8) to convict (convince) people of sin, of Righteousness and Judgment to come.
I mean that is one of the major reasons He is here; can you imagine GOD not doing His job?
Me either. So what is hindering? What could be hindering people from receiving deliverance from sin to forgiveness and LIFE?

Why am I thinking this way?

Sunday.
Sunday the Minister preached a Bible Message – a real Bible Message from Mark 14, starting at verse 32. He brought it home.
There were lots of people there.
Let’s be honest here when lots of people gather even at a preaching service, lots are lost. They may be church members but by the lives they live Monday through Saturday the evidence of salvation is woefully lacking. I’ve heard staggering numbers, although at the moment I can’t put my fingers on them, that as many as 80% of church members are not saved.

Why do people remain lost, when the REAL Gospel is preached?
Why do people in pews sit unmoved — like this very past Sunday?

I think I know one of the reasons.
I cried over them on Sunday but . . . even then I knew my tears were too few.

Too few I fear are the tears of the really saved for the really lost.

1 Thessalonians 5:14-22

19 Quench not the Spirit.
(KJV 1 Thessalonians 5)

One Response

If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?

Good question.
It requires serious thought — For a moment.

I hardly know how to be me!
Stepping into another life not knowing their thoughts, their habits, not knowing their secrets that we all have. Imagine what we could mess up in 24 hours.
And what happens when they are they again?
Do they undo what we did? Or must they contend, and accept what we did whether they agree or not? For you see, today, what we do today affects who and what we do tomorrow.

But what of the good I might do in their life in 24 hours?
Perhaps I should do that good in my own life for 24 hours.

Be anyone else? No, thank you.

Holy Hugs, Kathie

We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
