Game?

First allow me to correct myself: Our little Noah is not 3.  He is not quite 2. I visited his mother’s Facebook page and her favorite quote is this:

“faith can move mountains, but don’t be surprised if God hands you a shovel”

May I tell you I REALLY like that?!!

Please continue to pray for Noah and his mother, Rachel.

Before getting out of bed this morning I was reminded that our GOD and Father is THINKING about you (and me) today.

GOD, Creator of the Universe is thinking about YOU today!

4 How blessed is the man who has made the LORD his trust, And has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood.
5 Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, They would be too numerous to count.
via Psalm 40 NASB – God Sustains His Servant. – For the – Bible Gateway.

Psalm 139:16-18 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.
via Psalm 139:16-18 NASB – Your eyes have seen my unformed – Bible Gateway.

And then the one you most likely memorized long ago in one version or another:

Jeremiah 29:11 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
via Jeremiah 29:11 KJ21 – For I know the thoughts that I think – Bible Gateway.

SO since the Ruler of the Universe is thinking of You today and His thoughts and plans are ONLY good for you, surely you (we) can do this day in peace and hope — whatcha say? Game?

ABBA, thank You for reminding me You are thinking of me; that You never forget any one of Your children. Thank You.  Thank You that Your thoughts are always with love and Your plans and deeds toward us are ALWAYS good and in our best interest. I petition You, HOLY SPIRIT, to help us REST on this promise and live victoriously for Your glory and our own good. And again we come today with Noah, asking JESUS that You heal this child and restore him to his mother. That You under gird and strength her love and faith in You. And there are others like Nick and Cindy, Sheila and her upcoming surgery, Mabel and her requests come to mind – You know my heart there, ABBA. So with all our sick, all our afflicted and all those we love who are yet lost, save them LORD we pray.  Amen and     .

Tailor-Made Suit

Confirmation that one is on the right track fits like a tailor-made suit!

You may recall I’ve been praying in themes this week; don’t know how long it will be so. I have a huge propensity to expect GOD to do things the same way on a continual basis and that is appropriate in matters wherein He has told us He does not change.  But I’m off point here. Forgive me.

Theme praying.

Wednesday: that the LORD would COURT my people
Thursday: willing spirits

Today: a dose of honesty to fall

So that was my prayer for us all. And since I have not written a post for today – well, you know here I am sharing with you.  So for this post, I first keyed in honesty at Bible Gateway dot-com, and here’s the result:

1 Timothy 2:1-3 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
2for kings and for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
via 1 Timothy 2:1-3 KJ21 – I exhort therefore, first of all, that – Bible Gateway.

And so I received this blessed confirmation that for today, the theme is surely correct. For you see every Friday is specific prayer day for the President, his family; Congress and the House; Governmental Officials all the way down to my City Officials.

And what was today’s theme: a dose of honesty to fall?

And what does the TEXT read?

I welcome you to join in this prayer for a dose of honesty.  For sure I know, every one of us needs on a daily basis to be fully honest with ourselves before GOD and perhaps there are some others in our lives that we need to come clean with – not in anger or maliciousness but with the Love and Honesty of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Thank You, Father.  You have heard and I pray now for a healthy dose of honesty to fall upon us all. And again we pray and ask that You heal our sick and raise the spiritually dead to eternal life. Amen and ____________.

We have the God-given Right to do right in this wrong World,

Kathie

P.S. that closing is one of my favorites that I have used all these years.
I am mindful to be honest as I edit this post from April 2012, here in January of 2023, Friday has not been a day for specific praying for governmental offices for a long while.
During these 11 years, some things have changed for me like the placing of confidence in political leaders.
I don’t do that anymore.
I do desire to see people convinced of sin, of Righteousness, and of judgment to come. I do desire to see people saved, including people holding political office.
I do see America with new eyes; even so, more so, I want all people, including American People, to repent and be delivered from darkness.
Today, I maintain a godly appreciation for the abundant comforts and luxuries here in America, but as GOD’s people, we owe our full allegiance to our Father and King. With all our beings, we must be looking for His Return and allow HIM to prepare us for His Return — we can’t do that fretting politics.

One more thought: praying for a dose of honesty — I am sure Father heard and I am sure He was willing to gift every willing soul with a complete dose of honesty.
Eleven years gives evidence  — The majority of people in America have rejected GOD — particularly those in political offices. Still, we can pray for a dose of honesty to yet be received one by one.

Jasper, Alberta Canada

World Evangelism Praying day for me.  A new place. Picked randomly. Trusting that GOD is leading the choice. What place on planet earth does not need prayer? What people do not need petitions lifted to the Throne of Grace on their behalf even by an unknown woman in lower Alabama?

Jasper, Alberta Canada

From my very limited research thus far it is a beautiful place; less than 5,000 people living there. Rustic and pristine are some of the words I have read to describe Her

Rustic and pristine — hmm.

I know the definition but checked free dictionary dot-com anyway, wondering if I could apply those words for some helpful insight.

Rustic:

1. of, characteristic of, or living in the country; rural

2. having qualities ascribed to country life or people; simple; unsophisticated rustic pleasures

3. crude, awkward, or uncouth

4. made of untrimmed branches a rustic seat

5. (Fine Arts & Visual Arts / Furniture) denoting or characteristic of a style of furniture popular in England in the 18th and 19th centuries, in which the legs and feet of chairs, tables, etc., were made to resemble roots, trunks, and branches of trees

6. (Fine Arts & Visual Arts / Architecture) (of masonry) having a rusticated finish

having qualities ascribed to country life or people; simple; unsophisticated rustic pleasures  — Not a distasteful description, if you ask the right persons.  I know some wonderful people who are simple, unsophisticated, and it is a pleasure and privilege to enjoy their company and fellowship.  Perhaps even I would be fortunate enough to be this kind of rustic.

Pristine:

a. Remaining in a pure state; uncorrupted by civilization.

b. Remaining free from dirt or decay; clean: pristine mountain snow.

2. Of, relating to, or typical of the earliest time or condition; primitive or original.

Oh wouldn’t I love to be that: uncorrupted by civilization

But alas,  only one fits this description:  JESUS CHRIST the Righteous!

And for sure, for sure the people of Jasper, Alberta Canada (and every other place), rustic, sophisticated, wealthy, or in poverty; all need someone to seek the Pristine JESUS on their behalf.

Would you like to join me in this prayer endeavor for the month of March?  I hope you will. It would be an honor and a pleasure to serve the people of Jasper alongside you in prayer.

Happy Thursday, my Friends!

We have the Right to do right in this wrong World,

Revelation 21:
18 And the wall was built of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.

Talk about PRISTINE!!  :)

Bad Press

A new television series airing on ABC on March 4, 2012 was brought to my attention today.Truthfully I was completely unaware of ABC’s intent. Furthermore, I now understand that it was scheduled to air last Fall but One Million Moms was influential in getting the premier delayed.

I appreciate One Million Moms for the work they are doing. It takes courage to stand against sin in the marketplace and their stand is creating a stir.

I am not opposed to boycotts. I have participated in a few myself. But you know, boycotts would not be necessary and series like the one set to premier would not be produced if every man, woman, boy and girl in America who says they are a Christian lived like one.

I watched some trailers of the subject series and from them, I gathered it centers around a collection of females who frequent church services, have knowledge of a Scripture or two, call themselves Christians but who obviously to me at least have no acquaintance with the Author of the Bible and have never read the Bible for purposes of correcting their behavior.

Why would Writers and Producers offer this series?
Could it be because there is an audience for it?
And I am wondering how many ‘Christians’ will actually watch the series and find it humorous?

And how far from real life is it?
Do not church-goers call themselves Christians and yet they dress, talk, act and react just like non-believers?
Is it any wonder television and other forms of media mock and ridicule Christianity?
Yes. I am alarmed.
Truth is though I think I am going to have to admit I am angry.  But I’m not angry at the creators of the show.  Really I’m not. What else could I expect of them?
I think I am angry at wolves in sheep’s clothing and people who go to church on Sunday and live like hell the rest of the week.

But let me wrap this up with this plead: Please. If you Name the Name of Christ and you have no intention of getting into the SCRIPTURES to learn how by God’s grace  to dress, talk, act and react as the Bible reveals is becoming a Christian, by all means PLEASE keep your ‘profession of Christianity’ to yourself. Do not tell a living soul that you are a Christian – we have more than enough bad press from television, movies and Washington.

Truly it is not my intention to be harsh or unkind and I am remembering that JESUS said be angry and sin not and let not the sun go down on my wrath and by His grace I am obeying Him. It is my hope that my plea will startled someone into stopping long enough to allow the HOLY SPIRIT to speak.

Romans 13:10-12
21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awaken out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer than when we first believed.
12 The night is far spent; the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
