of what has been occupying me this morning. 

First I began with Beth Moore — Wednesdays with Beth. Click HERE to see and hear.  Listen for Age of Posers.  We live in a time of Posers – let us NOT be Posers.

Next I caught some of the 700 Club.  Click HERE for the particular news story.  And from this news story I am thinking where are the NOAHs? Am I a Noah? Am I sounding the alarm that JESUS is Coming? And who is listening? Are the peoples of the world, especially sects of Americans, like the people in Noah’s day –Laughing at him until the rain began to fall?

We know the answer to that, don’t we? Here it is.

2 Timothy 3 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

This know also: that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, without selfcontrol, fierce, despisers of those who are good,
4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God,
5 having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof. From such turn away.

And so that wrapped and brought me here to give you something to think about.

Luke 21: 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Be wise, be discerning, be ready and be telling.

Love and HIM

Oh that today, Valentine’s Day, would be a celebration of love all across America.  Real, lasting, faithful, true, and holy love.
Oh that today love would be pledged to the Greatest Lover of Eternity – JESUS CHRIST, the Righteous.
If ever One deserved to be loved it is HIM.
If ever One was a true and faithful lover it is HIM.

And if ever we as mortals want to give and receive real, lasting, faithful, true, and holy love we will FIRST give our love to HIM so we will have love to give to them.

16″For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

There will be a lot of giving TO each other today (and that’s a good thing) but it’s the giving of one’s self FOR another that makes it LOVE.

I Corinthians 13: 3-7 The Message Bible
If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,

For Real

I smiled when I read
“He showed me that He saw me as precious–that He is a God who cares about His kids,    :)
including whether or not they have a happy birthday.”
in my Journey Devotional Magazine this morning.

 

He is a God who cares about His kids. I feel loved by Him just reading that. I hope you do too.

We are yet to know the whole, the ALL of His love for us but what we do know already is mighty good – for real it is.  :)

Journey went on to ask me if I expect Him to participate in the everyday desires of my heart?
My answer?
Yes, I do. For real I do.

I hope you do too.

Ephesians 3:
16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

Do Not Be Afraid

I’m sharing with you this morning a portion of last night’s reading. It is still comforting, still alive to me this morning:

Revelation 1:
17 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last,
18 and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.
via Rev 1 NASB – The Revelation of Jesus Christ – The – Bible Gateway.

His right hand – the Hand of Authority, the Hand of Ruler-ship, the Hand of ALL Power and He said do not be afraid. I am only not afraid when I am surrendered, when I humble myself under His Almighty Hand. And there I am safe and comforted. Aren’t you?

There we KNOW HE IS THE LIVING ONE. He is the ONE who was DEAD but now is ALIVE forevermore. The ONE with power over death and hell.

JESUS IS!

Do YOU know Him? More importantly does HE know you?

Matthew 7:
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
