Bad Company!
Day 29 of 35 — Soul Detox
Devotional
The people in your life can be one of the most important spiritual assets or be one of your worst curses. Those relationships that are a curse to you are toxic. This week you learn from God’s Word about the dangers of toxic relationships and the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people.
“Bad company corrupts good character.” Describe a time when you experienced this warning in your life. What did you learn from your experience?

Got some bad company?
Beware!
32 . . . If dead people are not raised, we might as well live by the saying, “Let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”
33 Don’t be fooled. “Bad company ruins good character.”
34 Come to your senses! Live righteously and stop sinning! There are some people who lack knowledge of God — I say this to your shame.

We’ve heard that phrase: “A come to JESUS meeting.”
Here we have it: Come to your senses! Live righteously and stop sinning!

Surprise!
Perhaps I could say the extent of my surprise is indicative of my degree of having given up.
This is the 3rd Spring for my little lily. She has been faithful to push through the winter soil for three seasons and with each appearing she gave only leaves.
But this morning? Surprise! Delight and amazement and with much praise and gratitude I found this:
Certainly the expected glory will surpass the present beauty but how foolish it would be of me to not celebrate what is while I wait for what is to come.
Can we get a life lesson from that? (You are invited to share your insights if you will.)
Galatians 6:9
King James Version (KJV)
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

And our well-doing here just might be waiting.
1 Corinthians 2:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

We have the God-given Right to do right in this wrong World,
Cell Phones
Perhaps letting you in on an early morning conversation will give you a thinking point today.
Hubby: If you get out today, I need some deodorant and some shave cream.
Wife: Tell me that again when I can get to my phone and write it down.
Tell me again when I can get to my phone to write it down?? What an age we live in! Telephones that can go everywhere with you. Telephones that keep your shopping list in the palm of your hand. No need for pen and paper, just a Blackberry or Android or whatever else is out there with applicable Apps and you got it made.
Which brings me to our thinking point.
If mortal man can imagine, design and create all that we have in this 21st century, what must HEAVEN be like??!!!
If mortal man can do all this what has The Creator of the Universe done for those He has redeemed?? What will HEAVEN and ETERNITY be like for those who have repented and believed?! I cannot even imagine. Can you? But this I know. As super fun as cell phones, laptops, and email, etc. etc. etc. are oh my goodness the joys that await us!!!
