Parts . . .

Good Morning, Family and Friends.
I have been reading from The Psalms this morning. As I have said previously, I am continuing to read the Bible through. I hope to begin 2025 with The Proverbs.

But today I am here with something to consider from Psalm 143.

GOD’s part – our part.

7 Answer me quickly, O LORD; my spirit fails.  Do not hide Your face from me, or I will be like those who descend to the Pit.
8 Let me hear Your loving devotion in the morning, for I have put my trust in You. Teach me the way I should walk, for to You I lift up my soul.

9 Deliver me from my enemies, O LORD; I flee to You for refuge.
10 Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. May Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.  source Psalm 143

I see verse 7 as an urgent cry for help; a desperate situation we think we won’t live through, so we call on The LORD. And naturally, we want Him to answer quickly.
Now let’s get to the HIS part, our part.  We want His loving devotion in the morning and all day long and we can have it — here’s our part: I have put my trust in You. To know the loving devotion of The Father, we have to trust Him. If we lack trust, we will doubt His loving devotion toward us.
If we want Him to teach us the way we should walk, we garaden+path+curve-2293325470 have a part in that and our part is to lift our soul to Him — that is all our emotions we check with Him. When feelings come, when desires come, we take them to Him, and we see what His Word says — are these worthy and holy or not. And if not, in His power and grace, we reject them.  And day by day we learn from Him how we should walk.  It’s a perfect system.
Next. Deliver me from my enemies. Who are my enemies? My flesh, the world’s systems, and the principalities and rulers of darkness. (See Ephesians 6: 10-12)
GOD’s part: Deliverance. He delivers!
My part, your part: Flee. Run to The Father for His Strength to say NO to the temptation, whatever it is. No, I’m not doing that!
Oh, the taste of Victory!!
Teach me to do Your Will and why would He do that? Because HE is our GOD. Why would He lead us? Because HE is good. There is no darkness in Him at all. HE is worthy of our trust. HE is worthy of our sole allegiance.

HIS part. Our part.
Something to ponder, don’t you think?

Day 20 – Soul Detox

Psalms 34:1-22

Devotional

In order to face the “what ifs” of fear, you must seek God until He takes away your fears.

How different could your life be if you put your full trust in God and strived to seek Him daily?

That is a question well worth answering.
Full trust in GOD.
Would full trust in HIM bring you and me to the place of courage to overcome our fears? What does Psalm 34 say?

(4) I sought Adonai, and he answered me; he rescued me from everything I feared.

Psalm 62:6-8

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

6 He only is my rock and my salvation,

My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.

7 On God my salvation and my glory rest;

The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.

8 Trust in Him at all times, O people;

Pour out your heart before Him;

God is a refuge for us. Selah.
