Matthew 8:(TLV)26 He said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became totally calm.source
Reading this verse gave me questions. What are you afraid of? And why are you afraid? I think I shall make a list of the things I am afraid of. I fear :) how long the list will be!
1 John 4:18 (KJV)18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. source
And I say but in this mortal life I shall never be perfect and that is true but this perfect does not mean the perfect we so often conceive.
It means mature.
So as I grow up in love I will be less and less afraid. When I mature in the love I have for JESUS and mature in believing He loves me, I will be less and less afraid. That’s comforting! It’s doable too!
The Bible does not tell us in so many words what Joseph said when JESUS was born. Nor does it detail for us the interaction he had with JESUS, but since Joseph was chosen by THE FATHER, I am certain HE chose very well.
I wonder if Joseph cradled GOD in human flesh, longing for HIM to be his son for just a moment. Perhaps for just a moment, for just that one night he could protect GOD from HIS own world.
Genesis 2:16Then Adonai Elohim commanded the man saying, “From all the trees of the garden you are most welcome to eat.source
Did I read that right? Yep. All the trees of the garden you are MOST WELCOME to eat. Just think of it. All! Most Welcome! But that was not enough once they were deceived by Satan. But wait!
Today, if we don’t give ear to the devil the all we have is enough and we find we are most grateful that we are most welcome. This feels good on my soul. I think I’ll wear it! 😍
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
