Everything!

I’ve been reading some encouraging words on this cold Lower Alabama morning. May I share?

From JESUS CALLING by Sarah Young:

“Remember that I can fit everything into a pattern for good, including the things you wish were different.”

Everything? Even that mess that’s been hanging around for — well, years?

Yes. Everything.

Renewed hope. Renewed strength. And sweet peace. Thank You!

Thank You, ABBA, for encouraging words. Thank You for the strength and power and courage along with those words to make them alive in us. Thank You.

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

via Hebrews 4:11-13 KJV;CJB – Let us labour therefore to enter into – Bible Gateway.

4 For whatsoever things were written in times past, were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

via Romans 15:3-5 KJ21;CJB – For even Christ pleased not Himself, – Bible Gateway.

Our 41st day of 2014, what shall we do with it?

Open Mouth

Thinking about words lately.

29 Let no harmful language come from your mouth, only good words that are helpful in meeting the need, words that will benefit those who hear them.

via Ephesians 4:28-30 KJV;CJB – Let him that stole steal no more: but – Bible Gateway.

10 Out of the same mouth come blessing and cursing! Brothers, it isn’t right for things to be this way. 11 A spring doesn’t send both fresh and bitter water from the same opening, does it?

via James 3 KJV;CJB – My brethren, be not many masters, – Bible Gateway.

3 Set a guard, Adonai, over my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.

via Ps 141 KJV;CJB – Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto – Bible Gateway.

10 I am the Lord your God, Who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide and I will fill it.

via Psalm 81:9-11 AMP;CJB – There shall no strange god be among – Bible Gateway.

8 Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.

via Psalm 71:7-9 KJV;CJB – I am as a wonder unto many; but thou – Bible Gateway.

Enough said. :)

Thank You, ABBA, for these instructions. Thank You for Your patience and Your unfailing guidance to teach us Your way. May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable to You today.

13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

via Psalm 19 KJV;CJB – The heavens declare the glory of God; – Bible Gateway.

May our words be kind and true this 38th day of 2014,

Kathie

A Wednesday Extra

What if?

What if we are seeking the EXPERIENCE of GOD and not actually seeking HIM?

Is that possible?

And what does that look like? How would we know?

How can we tell the difference? Is there a difference?

These are not rhetorical questions. :)

Your help would be appreciated on this 36th day of 2014,

Kathie

14 then, if my people, who bear my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.

Discussion Finished

From the Quill of Paul and the Mouth of GOD: a socially unacceptable message.

2 Timothy 4:1 I solemnly charge you before God and the Messiah Yeshua, who will judge the living and the dead when he appears and establishes his Kingdom:

2 proclaim the Word! Be on hand with it whether the time seems right or not. Convict, censure and exhort with unfailing patience and with teaching.

via 2 tim 4 KJV;CJB – I charge thee therefore before God, and – Bible Gateway.

Jesus will judge ALL people period the end. It’s going to happen. And whether one believes it or not is irrelevant to the fact of its fulfillment. Discussion finished.

Jesus will establish His Kingdom here on earth period the end. It’s going to happen. And whether one believes it or not is irrelevant to the fact of this fulfillment. Discussion finished.

And if that was not socially unacceptable enough we get to verse 2 which is written only to the Followers of Yeshua the Messiah or in the Western World — Jesus the Christ – One and the Same.  And to us, we are commanded by our King and Messiah as He has every right to do, we are commanded to Proclaim the Word. It is not an option period the end.

Let’s put this succinctly: Every Follower of Jesus Christ who is not proclaiming The Word is disobedient.  Discussion Finished.  Of course, Father is eager to discuss, or perhaps a better word, rehearse with us our steps to repentance and restoration.

Next. No off days. Be ready when you want to and when you don’t want to, to Proclaim The Word into every situation He opens for us. And that’s just the way it is.

And finally. Convict, censure, and exhort.

All extremely socially unacceptable in this society – probably was in the 1st Century too – they just didn’t have instant messaging worldwide to stir up the masses.

Convict. Defined as:  To make aware of one’s sinfulness or guilt. via convict – definition of convict by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

Say, wait a minute. I thought that was the HOLY SPIRIT’s job to convict. It is. But obviously, from this Scripture, we are called to be a conduit of His conviction.  Won’t that be a challenge in this world?

Censure. Defined as: To express official disapproval of via censure – definition of censure by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

The word official in the definition of censure really helps me understand.  It is not my disapproval that is to be expressed it is HIS disapproval and what He has approved and disapproved of is clearly revealed in The Word. The  Word we are to proclaim.

Exhort. Defined as: To give urgent advice, recommendations, or warnings. To inspire with confidence; give hope or courage to via exhort – definition of exhort by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

Exhort is a really good word I think. It has both negative and positive aspects. Along with the negative, we give the positive!

Well, that’s a fatal blow to the apathetic live and let live philosophy!

And we do this

with unfailing patience and with teaching

Unfailing patience. However long it takes, however many times the door is opened by the HOLY SPIRIT, keep on keeping on proclaiming The Word.

Matthew 28:19 Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh, 20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.”

via Matthew 28:19-20 KJV;CJB – Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, – Bible Gateway.

Well, I can tell you, my Friends, this comes to me before it comes to you.

Father, this quiets me. I can only agree with You and rely upon You to teach me and guide me to all obedience. Thank You in Yeshua’s Mighty name.
