Second Chance

I did wrong yesterday.

Ephesians 4

29 Let no harmful language come from your mouth, only good words that are helpful in meeting the need, words that will benefit those who hear them. 30 Don’t cause grief to God’s Ruach HaKodesh, for he has stamped you as his property until the day of final redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, violent assertiveness and slander, along with all spitefulness. 32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted; and forgive each other, just as in the Messiah God has also forgiven you.

Does the passage give you a hint? It is more than a hint to me.

Conversation.

I was not careful. I spoke what I did not KNOW. I even said I don’t know but it might be that they are doing ___ and planning _____. Even so it certainly did not fit the instructions above.

Today I am contrite about it. Today I am purposing to remember this passage. It is the passage the HOLY SPIRIT brought to mind as I thought about yesterday’s conversation – what is worst He checked me yesterday before the words came from my lips. Obviously, I did not obey that Still Small Voice.  I am now reminded of another phrase from His Word – ‘these things ought not to be so’ (James 3:10).

I can only say thank You, ABBA. Thank You for correcting me. Thank You for loving me. Thank You for forgiving me. And Thank You for still another second chance. I love you, ABBA, in YESHUA’s Mighty name.

The sun has climbed above the trees in our backyard and so this little girl is about to seek the comforts of air conditioning. :)

Signing off for now but not without some joyful gratitude.

Day 184 of 2014, a day to give Thanks.

Oh one more thing — Have a safe, happy, holy Independence Day celebration tomorrow. Give our Father thanks for this Nation. She is not what she used to be and perhaps she is not what she will yet be, especially if we can pray the Supreme Court to making more good rulings as they have done recently. PRAY! There is hope in JESUS name.

From the Deck

Good Wednesday morning!

I am shocked and thrilled. I am writing to you from the deck. Can you believe the temps in Lower Alabama are cooperating on July 2? However, the sun is peeking steadily through the backyard trees … I know my time is short.

I came out in the quiet of the morning to sit with ABBA and my study book from Leah Adams, HeBrews A Better Blend. HeBrews-Cover1-796x1024May I tell you I am thrilled with this study. So far since starting yesterday I have completed days 1, 2 and 3. It is a just right study for Summer. It’s insightful, spirit-provoking but in a gentle way; and not overwhelming for our Summer schedules. I hope you will seriously consider getting a copy, brew yourself a cup of your favorite, while you let Him serve you a slice of sweetness for your soul through the pen of His willing servant.  By the way, Leah has tucked a favorite recipe of hers into each week’s study. This week is Cream Cheese Pound Cake. I have not baked it yet but the Draftsman (my beloved JT) says, ‘YES do that!’

Just for fun a phrase for us to ponder: The same breeze that refreshes me, turns the page I’m reading before I am ready.

What’s that say?

Love and blessings, my Friends

2 Therefore, we must pay much more careful heed to the things we have heard, so that we will not drift away.
