Well, today is the day! A day for feasting and the giving of thanks for the Feast. I am thankful that feasts are a GOD Thing. Feast
Most often we think of feasting, as it is related to the intake of food. Albeit, I am reminded that we are also privileged to FEAST upon The WORD of GOD. May it be as this month of Thanksgiving continues that we will FEAST on The Scriptures. They will surely nourish us; no other food comes close.
Revelation 3:20 New American Standard Bible 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. source
Hebrews 5:14 King James Version 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. source
1 Peter 2:2 New Living Translation 2 Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, source
1 Corinthians 5:7-8 New American Standard Bible 7 Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed.8 Therefore let’s celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. source
Just something to chew on today. :)

One rotten potato will stink up the whole bag of potatoes; more than the whole bag the stench escapes the bag and when you get close you can smell it! Phew!!
And if you leave that rotten potato in close contact with the other potatoes they will all go bad too.
Y’all know that right?
Now think people.
So the bag is a group, a congregation if you please.
The potatoes are – you guessed it, People.
And if that rottenness is not removed — well, you know what happens.
If, however, you catch the spoilage early enough you can do ‘surgery’, cut off the bad part, and the remainder of the potato can still be used. It will still be nourishment to those who need it.
The one above, I did not catch it soon enough — no sparing that one, and all the others around it had to have a thorough washing before they were worthy to feed.
Got the picture?
It’s not a perfect picture but useful, I think.
Is Scripture coming to mind?
2023 is speeding by. I have to ask myself: What have I done with it?
Let’s see. I have loved-on my great-grands and my grands. I’ve done some reading and some writing. Kept house. Visited a bit. And prayed a lot. But there is always, always more praying to do – not as a chore but a holy delight! Now for the most important question.
Luke 10:2 Complete Jewish Bible 2 He said to them, “To be sure, there is a large harvest. But there are few workers. Therefore, plead with the Lord of the Harvest that he speed workers out to gather in his harvest. source
Isaiah 6:8 New American Standard Bible 8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” source
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
