A new to me recipe that is good enough to prepare again. 
Yes. For that, I am giving thanks today. 

Especially when the ingredients are good for you, like brussel sprouts! 
Are you interested? 

It’s a pretty dish cooking, don’t you think?
It does have a suggested ingredient that my beloved cannot abide – Feta Cheese. 
So, at serving time I only added the Feta to my serving. 

1 Pound Brussels Sprouts
2/3 Cup Fresh Cranberries
1/3 Cup Feta Cheese
1/3 Cup Pecans
1 tablespoon Maple Syrup
1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar    (I used raspberry Balsamic Vinegar)
Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper

Out Loud

Saints of GOD, we are not alone in this world.
Our LORD GOD is with us.
We are never forsaken by Him, assailants may arise, even family and friends at times grow cold and distant, but we are safe in the warm covering of the LOVE of our Father. 

Speak aloud your requests to Him today.
Pour out your woes to Him. He cares. 1 Peter 5:7
And He is able to make our feet like hinds feet. 
See Habakkuk 3: 16-19.

Here’s a start: 16 When I heard, my whole body trembled, my lips shook at the sound; weakness overcame my limbs, my legs gave way beneath me.
But I wait calmly for the day of trouble, when it comes upon our assailants.  source

This passage is Habakkuk having penned these words to Israel but as His Saints today, The Word of the Holy One of Israel is surely for us too when our souls are beaten, when we are afraid and heartbroken.

The Urge to Panic

Don’t Panic. 

That counsel keeps boarding my thought train today. 
Don’t panic.
Whatever the crisis is at this moment. Whatever the present assault on the soul, don’t panic. 

It’s great counsel to give; not as easy to keep faithfully. 

So when we find ourselves in a panic – It is in our best interest and others, to step back and allow Holy Spirit to bring us to peace. 
Refusing to panic doesn’t mean we love them less; it doesn’t mean we don’t care.
It means we believe GOD more than what is slapping us in the face at the moment. 

1 Peter 5:8 Stay sober, stay alert! Your enemy, the Adversary, stalks about like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
9 Stand against him, firm in your trust, knowing that your brothers throughout the world are going through the same kinds of suffering.
10 You will have to suffer only a little while; after that, God, who is full of grace, the one who called you to his eternal glory in union with the Messiah, will himself restore, establish and strengthen you and make you firm.
11 To him be the power forever and ever. Amen.  source
