Just a quick word. It seems important. 

2 Timothy 2:15 and 1 Peter 2:2
Both are familiar.

2 Timothy 2:15  (NKJV) 
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. source

It takes work to eat. You have to be intentional.  Good nutrition does not come without effort. 
Planning, prepping, preparing, and actually eating. 

1 Peter 2:2  (NKJV) 
2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, source

Newborns. Have you noticed Moms don’t have to beg healthy newborns to take milk?
So, based on 1 Peter 2:2 why do Christians not desire the Word of GOD as intently as babies desire milk?

An Offer to Read

I have a read for you this morning.

It is entitled The Stupidest Idea Ever. No, I did not write it. :)

Is it a political sounding piece? 
It is. 

Is it a call to be an unlawful militant?
Nope.
But it is to encourage those who prize truth and freedom, to know we are not alone, stay in peace and hope, and do what is right. 

Again I say these are the days to be Wise as serpents, harmless as doves, and to study to show ourselves approved.

Matthew 10:16  (NKJV)
Persecutions Are Coming
16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. source

2 Timothy 2:14-16  (NKJV)
14 Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. source

2 Timothy, 2021, A Quick Hello

2nd Friday

I don’t think I have much to say today. I just didn’t want to miss a weekday saying hello. 
My soul is bruised and sore but I will heal. 
Politics is a nasty business and a sabbatical is much in order for me at this juncture. It likely does not mean you will see no more ‘political awareness’ category post but for now – no.

It is my aim to absorb Scripture, to pray, and see if can discern The Father’s direction for me for this season.
Discipling comes to mind.
The Bible does say older women are to teach (disciple) the younger women. 
I’m making it a matter of prayer.  We shall see.
