Smorgasbord

I have a smorgasbord of thoughts this morning.

Remembering a conversation. One was so weary; weary of the wrongdoing of another; particularly that Other from all appearances continues to reap no adversity for the evil committed.

Hebrews 12:6-8 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

8 All legitimate sons undergo discipline; so if you don’t, you’re a mamzer and not a son!

via Hebrews 12:6-8 KJV;CJB – For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, – Bible Gateway. [perhaps you will use the link and read in context]

Keep pushing me, ABBA.
Spoken from a grateful heart. So grateful for the prodding(s) of the HOLY SPIRIT. Make that phone call. Make that phone call. But I don’t have time to do what we said we would do. Make the phone call.  Phone called made. Oh what a relief!! Worries gone. New mutual plan so good! Oh, ABBA, thank You. Thank You. Keep pushing me!

Isaiah 30:21 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

21 With your ears you will hear a word from behind you:
“This is the way; stay on it, whether you go to the right or the left.”

via Is 30:21 KJV;CJB – And thine ears shall hear a word behind – Bible Gateway.

16 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;
26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

via John 14 NASB – Jesus Comforts His Disciples – “Do – Bible Gateway.

I will not leave you as an orphan.
When my beloved read those words from the WORD this morning my heart latched on to them. I will not leave you as an orphan. HE has not nor shall HE ever forsake me. Or any man, woman, boy or girl who has said YES, LORD YESHUA I will ‘marry’ You. I will enter into this holy covenant with You. Yes, I take Your gift of righteousness; and yes, here are my sins. I see You have taken the penalty of them for me.
I will not leave you as an orphan. I will surely come for you.
Amen and amen.

18 I will not leave you orphans — I am coming to you.

via John 14 CJB;NASB – “Don’t let yourselves be disturbed. – Bible Gateway.

And He does and He will!!

Got a smorgasbord this morning? Sit and dine. :)

Be Hidden in CHRIST,

Thank You, ABBA, for a smorgasbord of delight, comfort, correction, instruction, well-being and promises. Thank You for prodding(s). I invite You to keep pushing me. Keep pushing me. I love You, ABBA. And I have some loved ones to bring for healing and blessing and forgiveness and correction and help and mercy and encouragement and strength for this day. And for whomever comes here to read or pray, should they too need healing, need to forgive, need correction, help of any kind, mercy, encouragement, just strength for the day, I pray each will bow and receive that very gift from Your Loving Hands and Heart. Amen and amen.

Is it Okay?

Is it really okay to not worry over something of which you have no control? Is it really okay to even forget her suffering for a few moments here and there? It just does not seem right to not worry when she is suffering. It just does not seem right to not worry when things COULD go really wrong! But you have prayed. She has prayed. Yet could it really be okay to not worry?

The answer is yes. It really is okay to not worry.

To NOT worry doesn’t say I love her less. It says I love HIM more.

I Peter 5

7 Throw all your anxieties upon him, because he cares about you.

via 1 Peter 5 KJV;CJB – The elders which are among you I – Bible Gateway.

Be Hidden in CHRIST,

Thank You, ABBA, for conversations within. Thank You for offering comfort; for offering and making a way for us to cast our anxieties from ourselves to You. Thank You for caring for us. I know things could go adversely, even bitterly but they could go well too, even good.  Even so, YOU are GOOD and IN CONTROL so forgive me when I worry. Thank You for conversations that remind me it is okay to trust You instead of worry. Thank You for letting me know I am not betraying her or him or them when I trust You instead of worrying over what is or what could be. And so, ABBA, with all the what is-s and the what could be-s in our collective and individual lives we cast them and we accept the grace to choose to trust You instead of worrying. So for the loss and the potential we trust You; for the needed comfort and healing we trust You; for the means and provisions we trust You.
For Dylan. Kerri. Carol. Donnie. Terri and her family. Jamie. Lance. Adalynn. For their healing-s, for their families’ well-being we trust You. For each collective hurt and need finding his or her way to this page of prayer we trust You. We pray for Israel for peace and protection.
For America we pray for revival. We ask You to raise up people, men, women, young men, young women, children to boldly proclaim YOUR TRUTH to set souls free. I ask You for blessings for all Readers and Pray-ers here; for courage and wisdom and strength to be hidden in You so their lives can be seen shining Your glory.

But wait!

I am here this morning because I think I need to be, but my well of words has little cool refreshment to offer it seems. Janet’s words have come to mind: “Life’s hard but GOD is good.” For sure He is. And yet the frailty of human flesh betrays that truth from time to time and infects our soul with heaviness.

Sadness comes naturally. And here in this hostile world, there is MUCH to feed our sadness. Traffic. Rude people. Selfish people. Negative people. Mean people. Intoxicated people. Sickness. Disease. Injustices. Corruption. Disappointment. Death. It’s too much! The bravest of saints are subject to crumble under this weight.

But wait!

John 16:33 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

33 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

via John 16:33 NASB;CJB – These things I have spoken to you, so – Bible Gateway.

All of it, JESUS? Traffic? Rude people? Selfish people? Negative people? Mean people? Intoxicated people? Sickness? Disease? Cancer? Injustices? Corruption? Disappointment? EVEN Death? Yes! Even death!

So:

Nehemiah 8:10 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

10 . . . Don’t be sad, because the joy of Adonai is your strength.”

via Neh 8:10 CJB;NASB – Then he said to them, “Go, eat rich – Bible Gateway.

Don’t be sad. Do not sorrow as those who have no hope (see I Thessalonians 4:12-14). Not over adversity; not over sickness and disease; not even over death.

10 . . . Don’t be sad, because the joy of Adonai is your strength.”

John 15:11 These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

via John 15 NASB;CJB – Jesus Is the Vine—Followers Are – Bible Gateway.

Father, thank You for the strength and even the WILL to choose to be not sad but to abide in Your Joy instead. And so we choose to abide in Your joy as we wait for good news about Jamie. We choose as an act of obedience to be not sad. We choose to be not sad or mad in traffic, or with people, especially adverse people. Father, we choose to respond with mercy because if we do not we will grieve You and those who love us; forgive us Father and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness, and thank You that You have in the BLOOD of Your Son. We continue to pray for Terri. Dori. Kerri. Alyssa and Others named in our hearts; asking for miracles of healing – bodies, souls, hearts, minds, and families. Thank You, HOLY SPIRIT, for taking our prayers and making them answerable in the Name of JESUS.

Life Lines

I am thinking about Life Verses in these moments. This one has been a LIFE LINE for me many times. It remains so.

Psalm 145:17-18 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

17 The Lord is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds.
18 The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.
via Ps 145:17-18 NASB - The LORD is righteous in all His ways - Bible Gateway.

So what are your LIFE LINES? Where in Scripture have you found a place you can always go and find peace, rest, comfort, strength; whatever the need of the moment?

ABBA, Thank You for the LIFE LINES in Your Word; thank You for my own personal life line. Thank You that every time I throw it around my heart You rescue me. So, ABBA, for souls dear and precious, we throw our life lines today. You know our hearts and You know our pleas, our cries and we rest in You. We are resting for Jamie. Alyssa. Terri. and all the others that Readers bring to this gathering place. HOLY SPIRIT, take our feeble words and tune them to strong and fervent prayers that avail much in JESUS name.
