A Bumpy Ride

Fellow Followers of The LORD JESUS CHRIST, stop fretting, grumbling, complaining, and feeding on the media’s idolatry of governmental administrations. Don’t give this Distraction the time of day. 
Instead, give GOD time. Give HIM your attention. Abide in unceasing prayer with Him.
He is worthy of your time, attention, and affection.  
GOD said be sure your sin will find you out and they will. Numbers 32:23

Consider this with me. GOD works with what we give Him. 
GOD established government. Government as GOD established it is good; good and needful. Check out Moses; presently that’s my understanding of where government began. Exodus 18.
Additionally, like it or not GOD decides who sits in government offices.  Romans 13:1; Daniel 2:21; Daniel 4:17

Now back to God works with what we give Him and what He has given us. 
He gave us government. We corrupted it. We have elections. People speak. 
Have the people spoken? Yes and no. 
This present administration (and let’s face it – others before it) is what America earned.
Is that to say all Americans are getting what they deserve? 
I think not; particularly children. 
But know this: the sins of the parents and grandparents and great-grandparents are affecting the children of today.  (Deuteronomy 5:9)

I rest in this: GOD loves me. He loves all my loves (meaning my People).
And sin must be rewarded with what it has earned.
This present administration shall reap a harvest from GOD. Will that harvest be in time to bring people to repentance? I don’t know. 

But I do know no sin slides. 

So what kind of people should we be? 

Not fretters. Not complainers. Not worriers. 

Pray. Trust. Wait. 
And as we wait, speak Scripture. Live Scripture. Love Scripture. Share Scripture.
And wait till GOD does what only He can do.
And what does He do?
One of the infinite, innumerable things He does is appoint leaders to either lead the people to right and tranquil living; or if they will not, He allows the consequences the People have earned to give them opportunities to repent.
Still, the choice to repent or perish is each individual’s to make. 

Such is where we are. 
Can America come back from this? 
I seriously have my doubts BUT GOD will surely forgive each and every American or any other person the world over who will REPENT and turn FROM sin TO HIM.

Will we soon be without this Country we have so greatly enjoyed? 
I don’t know. 

But this I know GOD WILL NEVER FORSAKE HIS OWN.
Hebrews 13:5
But HIS OWN better do some repenting and turning and trusting.
Because the Ride just may get really bumpy moving forward.

Day 19 of The Giving of Thanks

Books.
Lots and lots of books and for the authors who write them and for times and days to read them. For shelves to hold them and for LOVE who built those shelves. For notes taken on the pages of a few, and for underlinings in yellow, blue, green, or pink and completion dates logged at the end. The gift of reading. Let us not take it for granted.

Revelation 20:12 (NLT) 12 I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.   source

Daniel 7:10  (AMP) 10 “A river of fire was flowing And coming out from before Him; A thousand thousands were attending Him, And ten thousand times ten thousand were standing before Him; The court was seated, And the books were opened.source

Acts 28:23  (AMP) 23 When they had set a day for Paul, they came to his lodging in large numbers. And he carefully explained [Christianity] to them from morning until evening, solemnly testifying about the kingdom of God and trying to persuade them concerning Jesus, both from the Law of Moses and from the [writings of the] Prophets. source

Oh! Ever!

Reading Daniel chapter 6 today. I urge you to use the link below and read for yourselves; not just read but listen for the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD and what He might say to you.

Allow me to share just a couple nuggets.

What man could not do, GOD DID!

14 Then the king, when he heard these words, was much distressed and set his mind to deliver Daniel. And he labored till the sun went down to rescue him. 15 Then these men came by agreement to the king and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians that no injunction or ordinance that the king establishes can be changed.”  source

These words are not fillers. Not an exaggeration. The king LABORED all day; from the time he heard of Daniel’s morning prayer until the sun went down! That king turn over every legal stone he could find to lift, desperate to save Daniel from the lions’ den. He couldn’t! And don’t you know the small souls who tricked the king into signing that decree were so delighted to bring him the news that all his labor of the day was futile! Daniel was going to the lions’ den. I see them as just flat-out giddy with what they thought they had accomplished. Oh, be careful little humans what we plot! 

Oh! there are so many lessons in this chapter! It would take weeks, no it will take a lifetime to glean even a good portion of them!

And so Daniel was put into the den and now look at this! Perhaps like me, you have not noticed it before.

17 And a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet and with the signet of his lords, that nothing might be changed concerning Daniel. source

A stone was laid! A Seal was placed!

Nothing was getting in and nothing was getting out. So they thought!

Does that remind you of what it reminds me?!  Of another stone? Another seal? Another nothing getting out, nothing getting in?

But HE did!

5 But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know you are looking for Yeshua who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.  source

GOD Delivered!

GOD ALWAYS delivers just what He says He will! We can take that to the bank! Humanity with our best efforts will fail but GOD NEVER FAILS! Ever!

 12 Then he said to me, “Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words.   source Daniel 10

I confess when I read this verse this morning it was out of context. I invite you to click HERE and read the whole of it. 

But, before you click, let me share a short word. Do you see these words?

Do not be afraid

Upon reading them I asked what is it in this regard that I must not fear? Daniel had been praying and in response to his prayer he received a heavenly visitor. It is the heavenly visitor that instructed Daniel: “Do not be afraid . . .” So why? Now I think I know why Daniel was afraid. But what might we be afraid of when Father’s response to our prayer seems delayed? 

Consider this. When His answers do not quickly come, don’t be afraid.
Don’t be afraid that He did not hear.
Don’t be afraid that He does not care.
Just don’t be afraid.
Just trust that He IS.
Just trust His answer is on the way and it will be right on time! Guaranteed!
