Something to Chew On

Day 23

Well, today is the day! A day for feasting and the giving of thanks for the Feast.
I am thankful that feasts are a GOD Thing.      Feast

Most often we think of feasting, as it is related to the intake of food. Albeit, I am reminded that we are also privileged to FEAST upon The WORD of GOD.  May it be as this month of Thanksgiving continues that we will FEAST on The Scriptures. They will surely nourish us; no other food comes close.

Just something to chew on today. :)

Say About It

Day 21

Scripture – It’s Life and Alive.

Let us give thanks for The Word of GOD. Today and all of our days.

The Bible enlightens us, warns us, admonishes us, transforms us, comforts us, encourages us, corrects us, and gives us direction, instructions, and guidance as no other collection of words on a page.

What does the Father say about His Own Word?

What does the Father say about JESUS? Check out what just these two verses say:
Hebrews 7:  24Jesus, on the other hand, because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently. 25 Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.  source

And what does the Father say about the enemy?
A lot!
Here’s a sample. 1 Thessalonians 2:He will oppose himself to everything that people call a god or make an object of worship; he will put himself above them all, so that he will sit in the Temple of God and proclaim that he himself is God.   source

What does Father say to us? EVERYTHING!
1 John 5: 21 Children, guard yourselves against false gods!  source

The New American Standard version puts it this way: 21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols.  source

Please notice listing # 2.
Even Free Dictionary dot com agrees that false gods are idols.
Wow!
Ponder well today, my Friends.

The Golden Sceptre

Hebrews 4

The ending verse of the chapter is these words:

16 Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need. source

Words I noticed:
Confidence
Throne
Grace (Power)
Receive MERCY
Find Grace (Power)
Help
Time of need

Throne.  GOD has a throne. He has a throne because HE is KING. The ultimate Ruler, Authority, and Power.
We are offered the privilege to approach Him. The Golden Sceptre has been extended!
And when we accept, we find Grace and Power to help us, in our time of need, and just because. Just because we are His.  It’s Mercy. It’s Grace. It’s for His Own.

I encourage you to read the whole book of Hebrews particularly today, chapter 4.

And be thankful.

Means to Meet

I can believe people are hungry for love, normalized fornication and everyday adultery prove people want to be loved but they are clueless that love is not found in sin.
What is sin anyway?
Simply, it is meeting a legitimate need in an illegitimate way.

Do we not know that GOD is and was aware of our needs before we were?!
And that He provided legitimate means to meet those needs?

But alas we don’t like His Ways. They often involve a waiting period which means: discipline!

That is not a friendly word in our world, is it?
Albeit, runners (and walkers) are well familiar with this word, discipline.
It’s par for their course; yet for the joy set before them, they take it on gladly.

I’d like to be wrong but I don’t think I am when I say people are not looking for answers, not looking for truth. They are looking for validation.
They want to keep doing what they are doing and be told they are right in the doing of it.

Who could blame them?
GOD.

And HE has and that is the message of Scripture.

TURN FROM YOUR SINS TO GOD.

Who do you know wants to hear that?

And what will it take to get people to where they are willing to hear that message?

That’s what I am wondering about this beautiful Saturday afternoon.

Honestly, I get weary of these questions and wonderings. I know they are not popular. But they keep coming.wake up world
And I keep hoping someone will wake up and smell the Tribulation and flee the Coming Wrath and receive The Testimony and The Righteousness of YESHUA and be delivered from death to LIFE.

It was more than 20 years ago and I am still convinced HOLY SPIRIT tenderly and firmly impressed on me (I remember precisely where I was, seated at a table with other precious choir members when the message came) that churched people do not take GOD seriously.

HE does NOT approve.

What would taking GOD seriously walk out like in your life today?

I’m not there yet, but I’m looking for Sisters and Brothers to come along with me on this journey.

Until Next Time ~ ~ ~ Selah, Kathie
