Do You See What I See?

Luke 7

I hope you are reading the Gospel of Luke this month.

Allow me to share just one of the treasures in this chapter.
In all the Gospels as you read, I urge you to look, listen, and see JESUS. Look how He answers, see how He handles everyday life.

John. We have come to refer to him as John the Baptizer was in prison for confronting an Official with the Truth.
John was born about 6 months or so before YESHUA. When John came of age he began to proclaim the Messiah is here. The One the Prophets told us would come.

And here in Luke 7 from the dungeon, John is overwhelmed and he begins to wonder . . . did I get this wrong? So he sends two of his disciples to ask JESUS:

20 When the men came to him, they said, “Yochanan the Immerser has sent us to you to ask, ‘Are you the one who is to come? Or should we keep looking — for someone else?’”   source

I missed for years how wonderfully YESHUA answered him.

He assured and comforted John with the very Word John had proclaimed.  When He told John’s disciples to tell John what they saw; when He told John the blind were seeing, the lame were walking, leapers were being cleansed, the deaf were hearing, the dead were being raised, the GOOD NEWS was preached to the poor; He was calling to John’s memory the Sacred Writings John had read, the message he had preached.

He assured John with Scripture! Just like He does you and me!

I hope you will check out Isaiah 35:5-6, 26:19; 61:1

As you read these passages you will see JESUS was before their very eyes fulfilling the Scriptures.
He is indeed The Messiah!

This was a total delight and a thing of beauty to me this morning!

Invest well today my Friends.

Splendor

Isaiah 35

I hope you will read it today.

I prefer the Complete Jewish Bible but there are many translations that will give you an excellent reading.

My reading today, prompted praying.
Like, Father, help me adore YOU in Your Splendor.

Splendor. Check even a secular dictionary and you might appreciate the word Splendor.

Great light or luster; brilliance.
Magnificent appearance or display; grandeur.
 Something grand or magnificent.
Great fame; glory.  Free dictionary.com

Is GOD that to you? Is He that to your family and friends?
Prayers can only help!

Verses 5 and 6 prompted prayer.
For blind eyes, including mine and anything that I am blind to that I need to see, to be opened.
For my family and friends to see.
For their ears to hear; for them to walk holy; for them to speak holy; for their lives to smell good to GOD.
Do you have blind and lame family and friends too? Perhaps you will read Isaiah 35 and pray for them today.

Verse 8 – The Way of Holiness

Who of us does not need this?!

Well, Did You?

Isaiah 32

If you have not read it today. Please don’t let another 24 hours pass before you do.

It’s rich. It’s full. It speaks so plainly!
How could we miss it?
Why would we?

Did you read any Scripture today? If not, why not?
If you declare with your mouth that you love JESUS, how is it that you can go for days and days, weeks or longer, months even and not open your Bible and read?

Verse 17 tells me the reason for the lack of peace here in our world is because of the lack of righteousness.
The effect of righteousness is PEACE. Check it out. That’s what it says.

And verse 9! OH MY!
You women who are so complacent, listen to me!
There is so much more.
Are you interested yet?

Christians, READ your BIBLE while you still have one to read!

Zero out of Six

I shared a picture on Facebook. This one. 317806956_508534574584912_2745246140430129741_n I shared it because such clichés may sound good to the people of this time but they are foolish and dangerous.

1 Listen to your heart.
Absolutely not!

3 Trust your gut.
Are you kidding?!

Proverbs 3:5  “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”  King James Version (KJV)

4 feel good about who you are.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

5 Happiness is what matters
Really?  Let’s see what GOD says.

Leviticus 20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” King James Version (KJV)

Psalms 53:3 “Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” King James Version (KJV)

As you can see those clichés are powerless to transform a single soul. BUT GOD!

HE can make YOU new. HE can make YOU clean. HE can make YOU holy and by the way, the way to be HAPPY (as everyone wants) only happens when we are HOLY in position with GOD and learning by practice to live HOLY.  It’s a life-long process.  Yet more than a process, it’s an adventure — like none other!
