Zero out of Six

I shared a picture on Facebook. This one. 317806956_508534574584912_2745246140430129741_n I shared it because such clichés may sound good to the people of this time but they are foolish and dangerous.

1 Listen to your heart.
Absolutely not!

3 Trust your gut.
Are you kidding?!

Proverbs 3:5  “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”  King James Version (KJV)

4 feel good about who you are.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

5 Happiness is what matters
Really?  Let’s see what GOD says.

Leviticus 20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” King James Version (KJV)

Psalms 53:3 “Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” King James Version (KJV)

As you can see those clichés are powerless to transform a single soul. BUT GOD!

HE can make YOU new. HE can make YOU clean. HE can make YOU holy and by the way, the way to be HAPPY (as everyone wants) only happens when we are HOLY in position with GOD and learning by practice to live HOLY.  It’s a life-long process.  Yet more than a process, it’s an adventure — like none other!

  1. Oh so true. Gods word is very clear and helps us to see the foolishness of these statements. Just because something sounds good doesn’t mean it is good.
We can never be holy without reading Gods word every day and hiding it in our hearts. It is our plumbline in life and will always lead us to the truth and will keep us on the narrow way. The Spirit within us, Gods word, communion through prayer with the Father and Jesus as our intercessor will lead us to a holy, peaceful, joyful, fruitful life.
Nothing, and I do mean nothing, this world offers can ever give us that and no amount of new age, feel good one liners will ever lead us to victory.
Thank you dear sister for ALWAYS PROCLAIMING the truth.
