Day 24

Day 24 of The Giving of Thanks

Hot Water.
Not the kind you get into for this or that but the free-flowing kind that washes away the grime of the day and soothes tired achy muscles – a hot shower. I have said one of the greatest blessings of living here in America is a hot shower. I am grateful for every hot shower I get to enjoy. Epson Salt baths too.

And I am grateful for the Water of The Word. It washes the grime and soothes like nothing else. The Water of The Word is plentiful here in America. May it continue to be.

A few pics – no hot shower spigots available but I think you will enjoy these.

Day 22

Day 22 of The Giving of Thanks.

Walks and Rocks
Really. I’m not kidding. I am giving thanks for walks with JT and things we find along the way.
On today’s walk, we found a lovely surprise. A rock.
Yes. A rock.
One painted and placed by some caring soul to cheer the finder thereof. The Finder was me! And that pretty Rock named Joy now as a new home. The request written on the back was to keep or hide. I’m keeping it. At east for a while. :)

Matthew 16:18 (NKJV) 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. source

Somehow finding a rock named Joy seems just right for me. Joy. Rock.

Jesus
Others
Yourself

Still works.

Day 21

Day 21 of The Giving of Thanks

Fresh Berry Cobbler.
And I say that even before I taste it. I am trusting it will be tasty. Other cobblers have been all these years. That simple little few ingredient recipe. The same one that Little Girl would stand in the kitchen and wait for it to cool just enough to eat it, many years ago. I think she still would – it’s vegan. :)

Happy Saturday, my Friends.

Genesis 1:11 (NLT) 11 Then God said, “Let the land sprout with vegetation—every sort of seed-bearing plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.” And that is what happened. source

John 15:5  (NKJV) “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. source

Galatians 5:22-26 (NKJV) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. source

Revelation 22:2 (TLV) down the middle of the city’s street. On either side of the river was a tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. source
