Praying for Broken Legs

For more than 12 hours, with some sleep in between, I’ve been more than usually aware that all around me are messed up people (including myself).

People are wounded, injured, and broken.
Everyone I know is messed up in some manner – some with disease and sickness of the body; some emotionally; and everyone.
Yes, EVERY ONE is in need of spiritual transformation.
Some are further along in the process than others but NO ONE on earth is fully perfected. Not one of us FULLY REFLECTS JESUS.

And also disturbing to me are those who either do not know or do not care that their day-in and day-out walking around on this earth looks nothing like JESUS.

No. I’m not mad.
I’m sad.
I hurt for them.
I hurt to see so many unfixed people, living defeated lives. Lives filled with death-yielding sin.
Depression. Anger. Anxieties. Bitterness. Hatred. Corruption. Debaucheries. Fears. Animosity. Dissatisfaction. Coveting. Greed. Lusts of every sort. Sexual depravities. Confusion. Reprobate minds.
The list is endless.

AND worse, many of these are people who profess they are Christians!

So I pray.
I pray people will come to KNOW they are broken and living sin-filled lives. That they will discover there is ONE HEALER.

But you know what even GOD cannot heal a person who is not willing to be healed?
Now He can work with them to bring them to be willing.
I am praying for this too.

Have you seen that picture depicting JESUS with a lamb on His Shoulders?

Do you know why that lamb is there?
Well, the story goes that the lamb wandered off from the flock .jpeg1aand the Shepherd went looking for that lamb and when he found the lamb, he broke the lamb’s leg (and set it properly, of course) and then put the lamb on his shoulders, and he carried that lamb around until the lamb healed and learned to not wander away from Him.

(I’ve experienced this and I am eternally grateful – no, my broken leg was not my flesh and bone leg. It hurt much worse and much longer!!)

I am praying for some broken legs in the Body of Christ.

I am praying too for unbelievers that they will become noticeably aware that they are broken all over and be willing to allow JESUS to heal them.

How about you, are you praying for The Body of CHRIST?

If not, are you in need of a broken leg?

20 Now may the God of peace—
who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus,
the great Shepherd of the sheep,
and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood—
21 may he equip you with all you need
    for doing his will.
May he produce in you,
through the power of Jesus Christ,
every good thing that is pleasing to him.
All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.  source  Hebrews 13

Then . . . Golf Cart

Hi.

I’m reading Philippians 2.  Not far into the chapter yet and here I am.
It’s so good! Father through His Vessel Paul had so much to say. I love the way that as Father gives us His Word He lets us see His Servants. So beautiful!

So Paul at the beginning of the chapter reminds his people who they are and who he is to them and then he says THEN.

then complete my joy by having a common purpose and a common love, by being one in heart and mind.
Do nothing out of rivalry or vanity; but, in humility, regard each other as better than yourselves —
look out for each other’s interests and not just for your own.
Let your attitude toward one another be governed by your being in union with the Messiah Yeshua:  source

Then.
He says there are some ways I want you to keep; a means of life that you must embrace and act upon to be the people I know you are.

Okay. Here goes.

Have a common purpose.
Have a common love.

Be one in heart and mind.
No rivalry.
No vanity.
HUMBLY be one another’s keepers – that is look out for one another’s best interests before you do your own!
And finally, your attitude toward one another must be governed by your union with JESUS.

From your knowledge of Scripture:
Define the common purpose.
Identify the common love.
Describe unity.
Do you know rivalry or vanity when you see it?
What does a governor do?  Don’t picture a politician — far from that!
Try this on.  Golf carts have governors – that way I will drive at a safe speed throughout the course path for all 18 holes.

My union, your union with JESUS MUST govern our day-to-day living from now until we see Him Face to face.

Glad Tidings

I heard today that as Disciples of Yeshua we are supposed to engage our culture and share His Gospel.
Would you agree?

And if so, how do we engage this current culture?
AND does this current culture WANT us to engage them?

To engage today’s apart from Christ Culture we would be commanded to be truthful with them.
How likely is it for us to share the saving Gospel of JESUS with them if they see no need to be redeemed?
Redeemed from what they might say?
Yet we know without the knowledge of sin, the conviction for sin, and the turning from sin to GOD  (repentance), no sinner is ever redeemed.  Romans 3:23-28

Moreover, we understand from Scripture that sinners must own their sins before they can have their sins transferred to JESUS and have His Righteousness imputed to them.
How do we impart the Gospel to a Culture if that Culture refuses to contemplate their sins?

So, how do we engage this anti-Christ culture?

Now, I am assuming that the majority of the people who come to The White Stone come because they are already in the Christian Culture – that is they know JESUS in salvation or are in the habit of going to a church service from time to time.
Which means I am again more or less preaching to the choir.
But just in case, my last question here today is for the Culture.

So, Choir, how do YOU engage this culture?

And, Culture, how do YOU want to be engaged?

Romans 10:13-15  American Standard Version

13 for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 and how shall they preach, except they be sent? even as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that bring glad tidings of good things!    source

No, BUT HE will accept His Best, His Son, in YOUR STEAD.

It’s Late and

I am wondering.
How can we preach to this generation?
How do we tell this generation to turn from sin to GOD?
Do you know that was John’s message? It was JESUS’ message. It was the Disciples’ message. It was Paul’s message.

Scripture passages

Is it our message?
Does this generation even know what is sin?
Can the average person define sin?  Does sin in their minds have any relevance to them?

Then there is conviction.  Is there?
Do people experience conviction these days?

And if people do not know what is sin and they do not experience conviction, how will they turn from sin to GOD?

Does this ever keep you awake at night?
