Catch Phrases

I am eager and excited to share some catch phrases of wisdom with you this morning from the book of Job. Now, I am aware these are taken out of context but taken at face value the stringing together of these words as is caught my attention; and perhaps they will yours as well.

so soaked in my misery.

via Job 10 CJB – “I am just worn out. “By my life [I – Bible Gateway.

I image somewhere along the way I will see such a soul – may it not be in the mirror! And may it not be you my Friend.

11 For he knows when people are worthless; so if he sees iniquity, won’t he look into it?

via Job 11 CJB – Next Tzofar the Na‘amati spoke up: – Bible Gateway.

Rampant iniquity – I see it. You see it. And HE is looking into it. So we can rest from looking at it. In HIS timing He will attend to it and perhaps if we stopped insisting He attend to it in our time and in our way, WE would get out of His way of attending to it. You think?

12 “An empty man can gain understanding, even if he was born like a wild donkey.

via Job 11 CJB – Next Tzofar the Na‘amati spoke up: – Bible Gateway.

This one is WAY RICH. I’m only giving a morsel in comparison.
Origin (of birth) and environment is NO EXCUSE for a miserable, failing life. CHRIST JESUS is available.

10 In his hand is the life of every living thing and the spirit of every human being.

via Job 12 CJB – Iyov responded: “No doubt you are – Bible Gateway.

Awe and comfort!

One more.

11 Shouldn’t the ear test words, just as the palate tastes food?

via Job 12 CJB – Iyov responded: “No doubt you are – Bible Gateway.

We taste food to see if it is good and acceptable before we swallow it. Likewise, should we not test words either from the mouths of others or within our own heads to discern if they are worthy of ‘swallowing’? :)

As I said catch phrases. They caught my attention. Perhaps they will yours as well.

ABBA, thank You. Thank You for more wisdom; for catch phrases to capture our attention, for us to hold and meditate upon, to give us quick and ready guidance in this fast world. Thank You for providing every resource of every kind that we need to live holy lives in this unholy culture. Thank You for knowing us and loving us. And in this moment I pray now for each one who gathers here. You know their names, their faces, their needs, their hopes, dreams and fears and You have every provision ready for them this very day. Thank You. HOLY SPIRIT, help them believe, receive, take hold and let go according to Your Plan for them. Thank You for good reports concerning Terri; yet still a long way to go all the way around and so we wait and we trust for Your Good Plan and Will to be seen. Kerri. ABBA, I am still asking You for a miracle for her. Pat & Rosalie. Alyssa and her family: time is drawing near for the trip; there must be so many details, so much we don’t even know to ask but I trust You ABBA to do ALL things well. David. Ray. Linda. Pam. Women’s Ministries,  in particular those set to rescue women from taking the lives of their babies in the womb; and all those enslaved in sex trafficking. Israel: peace and protection. America: repentance and revival. And we the BRIDE OF CHRIST: to live for Your glory alone, ABBA, these are my requests in this moment. HOLY SPIRIT, help me remain in ceaseless prayer till we gather here again in YESHUA’s name.

IT

When life stands between this screen and me, I miss you. It is at these times I know The White Stone is more for me than for you; but thank you for sharing this gathering place with me.

Psalm 13.
Starts in the natural. Ends in the Supernatural.

Look. Identify with the Psalmist.

See that he had feet of clay. See that he had doubts. See that he had fears. See that he questioned. See that he wanted ‘it’ to be different.

Then see what made the difference.

13 (0) For the leader. A psalm of David:
2 (1) How long, Adonai?
Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
3 (2) How long must I keep asking myself what to do,
with sorrow in my heart every day?
How long must my enemy dominate me?
4 (3) Look, and answer me, Adonai my God!
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death.
5 (4) Then my enemy would say, “I was able to beat him”;
and my adversaries would rejoice at my downfall.
6 (5) But I trust in your grace,
my heart rejoices as you bring me to safety.
(6) I will sing to Adonai, because he gives me
even more than I need.

via Ps 13 KJV;CJB – How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? – Bible Gateway.

BUT.
But I TRUST

AS
As You are bringing me to safety, ABBA I trust. Not

WHEN You bring me to safety.

BIG DIFFERENCE.

I want to practice the BIG DIFFERENCE today. And I want you to, too.

ABBA, thank You. BUT I TRUST and AS not when. You have given us Wisdom here and by Your Strength and Grace we will make use of it today for YESHUA’s sake and our own. So this is my prayer for each dear friend who gathers here today to allow Your wisdom to be applied to this day in us. Someone close and dear is on my mind even now, wanting so much for her to see this passage; to identify and take up this wisdom living. And me too; least I fall myself this very day.
And still we are praying for Terri and family. Kerri. Dori. Pat & Rosalie. Leslie – all those who sit around that table with me. Alyssa and her family. The men and their families of the Baseball Camp this year. Israel: peace and protection. America: repentance and revival. And other dear friends whose faces we see. Thank You for the safe return of the mission teams and for the work done – keep it going HOLY SPIRIT. ABBA, this covers much and yet so little; even so we bring them, baggage and all. Mary: strong and faithful and at risk; comfort her, steady her, protect her and in time bring her through to the new life You have for her. Thank You for reading our hearts and minds and perfecting our prayers for Your Answers and helps to us all in JESUS name.

Wisdom

The Lord by wisdom founded the earth, By understanding He established the heavens.

via Pro 3:19 NASB – The LORD by wisdom founded the earth, – Bible Gateway.

As we go into the weekend, ponder the wisdom of GOD. As I continue to think about how He created this planet and the universe, his wisdom keeps coming to mind as recorded in His Word.

Moreover, He has promised to impart wisdom to us if we ask.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

via James 1:5 NASB;CJB – But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him – Bible Gateway.

Go back with me to Exodus. The People are about to build the Tent of Meeting. The Tabernacle of the congregation; and the LORD calls certain people to come and work. Read what is recorded for our learning:

3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

via Exodus 31 KJV;CJB – And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, – Bible Gateway.

Do you see it? A principle we can rely upon. When ABBA calls us to a work; He provides the wisdom and the skills to do that work. I like that! I hope you will read all of Exodus 31 and enjoy the details.

So what have you been called to? Whatever it is. Whatever season of life ABBA has you right now, His wisdom, understanding, knowledge, skill in workmanship is available to you. ASK and receive.

ABBA, thank You. I like what we have read. I like seeing the details. And in the simplicity of a child: ABBA, You are so smart! For sure You are ALL KNOWING and I am so glad about that! Thank You for wisdom, for knowledge, for skills in all manner of workmanship that You impart to us as we are called and as we set our hands to obey You. Thank You.
I still have Alyssa in mind this morning. She and her family and still trusting You to hold them up and together and that You will heal Alyssa. And Gloria that I met yesterday. A beautiful lady and her husband. Thank You for the privilege and for the years You have extended to her beyond what physicians told her. I pray You will give her more years to serve You here. She is a blessing. Thank You.
And as I think over yesterday, thank You. Thank You for carefully watching over the details. YOU ARE SO AWESOME and so GOOD. Thank You.
Others come to mind in these moments: Kerri. Still asking for a miracle there. Dori. Terri and family. The Mission Trips. The Baseball Camp this weekend: safety and protection from injury; and fellowship, edification and salvation(s) is my prayer for them, ABBA. Israel: peace and protection. America: repentance and revival. And our Readers, always our Readers, ABBA. Those who gather here with us, blessings and favor upon them that they may KNOW Your Presence in the mundane things and give You glory. And Mary. Dear and Precious Mary as she grieves. 50 years with Terry. So many memories. A wonderful life and marriage. So many will miss him but You have a plan, ABBA. And we pray for holy trust. Please fill  that huge, huge void for Mary with Yourself. Amen and amen, YESHUA.
