Tomatoes

Popping in just for a Saturday early evening hello.

We have internet again!!

Counting things out before the time.
I do that sometimes — do you?

We were weeks late setting out some tomato seedlings. So late that I planted one with no hope that it would survive.
Poor thing it was genuinely pitiful looking — bent over, yellowed leaves. Like I said it was pitiful! But, I planted it anyway.

Today.
Today it’s taller, green, standing, reaching for the sun and deepening its roots for nourishment.

Perhaps you are smiling by now — I am.

When we are bent over, tired, zapped — you know what I mean, don’t you?
The Son and the Water of His Word will surely perk us up — more than perk us up.

We will thrive and produce fruit!

I better go stir the sloppy joes –  my Boys are hungry.
Okay. So it’s not the healthiest meal but it is homemade and I used pasture-raised beef. :)

Rejoice and enjoy the rest of your weekend my friends.

Eyebrows

Eyebrows

Aren’t they amazing?
I mean what they do for the face — beautiful accents!

Within the whole of humanity, there are only two models:  male and female.  (Genesis 5:2)
And somehow all the males are alike and each is unique.
It is the same with the females, all females are alike, and yet each is unique; go figure — only GOD could do that, don’t you think?
Amazing.

Back to eyebrows.
We have them. Some more, some less. I know about less. I used to have more. And when I can draw some back in, oh my I feel so much better.
Eyebrows and the rest of the human body! Amazing.
Father GOD, is awesome!

His design was flawless.
And even when deadly sin invaded, the body still functions — not flawlessly but well enough that we would do well to be in AWE of the GOD who created us.

Eyebrows.
Yes, eyebrows brought on all this musing.

May I urge you to do some research?
Science, true Science, if you study it will increase your Awe and trust in our Holy, Perfect Creator.

Why Do We Have Eyebrows?

YOU

Acts 3

I notice something about Peter (Kefa) in my reading of Acts 3 that I appreciate so much. His boldness. So bold to use the word YOU.
I’m not bold like Peter. I wonder if I ever will be.

You.

Peter minced no words when he was delivering the sermon recorded for us in Acts 3. Not less than 20 times (CJB translation) he says YOU.
You know when YOU is necessary we ought to use it, don’t you think?

Why was Peter so bold?
Because he loved so greatly, I think AND he was empowered by Holy Spirit.

What would our generations do to a man (or woman) like Peter?
I wonder how many Peter-like men or women there are in the world today?
I wonder how many would preach Acts 3 today?

So, have you read Acts 3 today? Or another chapter of your choosing?

We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
