We Can!

A quick word, I think, before GRANDS are up and ready for breakfast.

Proverbs 4:11 New International Version 1984 (NIV1984)

11 I guide you in the way of wisdom

and lead you along straight paths.

via Proverbs 4:11 NIV1984 – I guide you in the way of wisdom and – Bible Gateway.

And immediately upon reading this I thought when my path is not straight, it can mean only one thing, I am not following Him.  And on a more pleasant note, He guides. He guides in the way of wisdom.

Think of it! You and I can be WISE today. We can hold and dispense the Wisdom of God today. Wow!

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.

via James 1:4-6 KJ21 – But let patience have her perfect work, – Bible Gateway.

There is a catch.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.

via James 1:4-6 KJV – But let patience have her perfect work, – Bible Gateway.

And that boils down to a choice to believe what we just read. He said: ASK GOD and GOD will give.  Simple. Isn’t it?

Believing JESUS is the wisest choice I can make today.

Thank You, ABBA, for this simple yet profound word today. We can walk in Your Wisdom today. We can make wise choices today. We can speak words of wisdom today. We can! Thank You, JESUS.  Thank You for this quiet time. Thank You for Your Word that speaks so clearly to us. And thank You for each Dear Soul that comes here to read and to pray. I pray HOLY SPIRIT that You will speak to them, assure them of Your Will and Plans for them. I am mindful in this moment of One You love who has been deceived and has gone willfully into the Darkness. I am asking You to have mercy. The magnitude of the transgression is too big for me to fathom but You, O LORD, are able to redeem her; that is Your Desire and it is mine and others and we pray it will be hers.  That she will believe Your revelation as You position her to see and we pray she will believe and repent.  And I am mindful of our sick and afflicted. Today is testing day for Dori. A long and hard day for her. I pray for her strength to be meet for this day’s activities. And we continue to pray for You to completely heal her. There are others. You know their names, their faces, their hearts, their frames and we pray for healing in all ways needed and advantageous for Your Kingdom and for them. And others. Those who seem to be oblivious to their sin and their need of the Savior. I can only ask that they come to see their sins as the affront they are to You and come to believe in the power of the Blood of JESUS to wash them clean.  Israel. Must not forget Israel. Asking You for peace and safety. Asking for wisdom for Her Leaders. And for this Country. ABBA, I am grateful for America. I am grateful You birthed Her. I am grateful to live here and, ABBA, I pray for strength and wisdom to boldly and effectively fight for Her life. She was once young and beautiful and filled with Your grace and goodness; once kind and benevolent and obedient before You. I am so sorry we have transgressed against You. We have earned Your wrath. Even so I trust You to dispense it in love and wisdom. I pray to align with You and I pray all my brothers and sisters in CHRIST JESUS will too. Thank You, ABBA. Thank You. Amen and amen.

Verse 25

Acts 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. via Acts 16 KJV – Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, – Bible Gateway.

What can we apply from verse 25?

It was midnight.

What is midnight?
First, I think DARK.
Life experiences from time to time are dark.
What else?
Mid-way through.
I like that! At midnight we are mid-way through. We have come a ways and we have a ways to go BUT we are going through.  That in and of itself is worthy of some praise. :)

If you read the surrounding Text of 25 you will see that Paul and Silas are in prison. Not just any prison. The darkest of darkest prisons.  Let your sanctified imagination paint that picture for you – smells, creatures, etc. etc.

And what were Paul and Silas doing?

Praising!

And who was listening?

Others!

What’s the message?

You got it! Praise in the dark and others will see the LIGHT!!

Love to you my Dear Friends!

ABBA, thank You for Dear Friends, many I have not met face to face, in JESUS name I speak peace into their dark places. Your peace, Your comfort, Your discernment and much to their advantage the will and ability from You to give You praise in the DARK so others will see the LIGHT. And not just for them, ABBA, but me too. Me too. We come bringing our sick and afflicted asking You to heal them.  And giving You much praise that Noah is on his way to recovery! Thank You LORD Thank You! And for others, particularly the rebellious and oblivious, please have mercy, ABBA. Give them grace and space and the will to repent for JESUS sake.  Bless and protect Israel, subdue their enemies, I pray. Amen and amen.

It Doesn’t Hurt To Ask

I have been thinking about it so perhaps I should write about it this morning.

I recall a time.  A panic attack was forming. I could feel it coming on. I was scared. I didn’t want to go there AGAIN.  And in ignorant desperation I cried out – literally!:

JESUS, pray for me.

He did. The panic attack immediately subsided.  Mind you I have had some anxious moments since then but none again to that magnitude.

My point? It is a good thing to ask JESUS to pray for us. Shall I give you Scriptural bases?

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
via John 17 KJV – These words spake Jesus, and lifted up – Bible Gateway.

32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
via Luke 22:31-33 KJV – And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, – Bible Gateway.

Past tense, right?

25 Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
via Hebrews 7 NASB – Melchizedek’s Priesthood Like – Bible Gateway.

Present tense!  He ALWAYS lives to make intercession for us.

So doesn’t He pray even if I do not specifically ask? Of course He does! BUT what of  ‘ye have not because ye ask not’ (James 4:2)?  I’m just giving you some food for thought.

Next time you’re in a tight place, you could cry out: JESUS pray for me.  Perhaps it will make a sweet memory that you will never forget.  A memory that you will hold on to for the rest of your life. A memory that will encourage you and remind you every time – HE LOVES ME! HE HEARS ME!

Thank You, JESUS, for praying for me even when I do not form the words. And thank You that when I do, You let me know that You are always, always praying for me; always loving me.  And not just me but every willing soul who believes and receives. And for every soul who comes here to read and pray today, I pray this precious Truth will bear fruit in their hearts. And, ABBA, we come with our sick and afflicted again this morning, asking You to heal them. And, HOLY SPIRIT, we come with our wayward, rebellious, oblivious Ones and ask for mercy and grace and space to repent. And we pray for our beloved Israel for peace and safety for them. And for our own beloved Nation we pray for mercy; for a revival; for You, HOLY SPIRIT, to call people to come together to pray and intercede for others in JESUS name. Amen and               .
