Rx, Anybody?

Realizing the need to be directed by the LORD, I prayed for Him to set out a path for me and He quickly and most compassionately reminded me He has already given me the promise that He will direct my way.  Not only has He promised to direct my way but He said it would be His absolute delight to do so.  See! says so right here!

Psalm 37: 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delighteth in his way.

So what’s the problem?

Me!

I was going to say I have the hard part – following. But actually that is not the truth. The truth is the hard part is DECIDING to follow. And it is not just a one time decision – pity! Because I like once and for all decisions that need no maintenance. However, I only know of ONE such decision: Salvation.  And you know the reason it’s a once and for all decision? Because I am not the one responsible for maintaining it — HE is! And HE has already promised HE will – no worry there!

But for all the steps from the Cross to Heaven? Well, that’s my DECISION and the ONLY safe and sane one to make is to FOLLOW. And you know what? Once I decide to follow a particular ordered step, following is a far, far, far easier path than not following.

Anybody know what I mean?

Anybody encouraged by this besides me?

Anybody out there need to take heart and make some decisions today to follow a prescribed order?

is well underway. Actually, the day is waning and evening of the first day is coming on strong!

2013

We welcome you because we know each of the moments you intend our ABBA holds them  in His Holy, Just and Loving Hands before He allows them to greet our faces.

I could come to our page with regrets and siting my failures of 2012 or with resolutions for 2013 but I am determined to come with only this.

I have one word for me in 2013.

Live

Live for His glory and all my other hopes will come along in their appointed times; like shaping up and shedding fat cells; like less TV viewing and more reading; a cleaner house;  more shepherding my classmates and lots of blessing my beloved hubby and family.

We have a great adventure ahead or a gloomy existence — it really is our choice — moment by moment.

Help me choose well by praying often for me — won’t you?

I am convinced that ALL creation was made to reveal GOD to us and even we ourselves.

Sara (if you missed her announcement, click HERE) is one of those creations and we are both learning.

I have long found dogs to be forgiving creatures – they give unconditional love.  That most assuredly should remind of us ABBA.  Sara has been with us a little more than a week and in that time she has learned well that the new wood flooring is off-limits to her. She is mindful of this no-no even while she plays.  Earlier this morning, she was in chase of her ball; now she flat-out enjoys chasing that ball across the kitchen and dining room floors. Today the ball was wild and Sara was in hot pursuit, if puppies could giggle I have no doubt she would have been. And then! oh no the ball rolled squarely on the wood floor; and Sara? Well, Sara abruptly abandoned her pursuit.  Not only did she stop short of her predetermined boundary she looked up at me as if to say please fetch it for me, I can’t go in there. And did I? Oh yes!! with much pleasure and words of praise and hugs. 

Can you guess what Sara is teaching me? That we as ABBA’s beloved children must learn to mind and observe His predetermined boundaries with such faithfulness!  Would HE not reward us exceedingly more than I did Sara this morning?

Something more before I close. Sara does not yet know that once she has mastered the art of taking her potty breaks outside, her boundary lines will be extended. I am wondering what boundary lines would be extended for me and what rewards and praises and hugs from ABBA I would receive if I were to more faithfully stop short of holy boundaries?

And, LORD, we have some friends and family that have serious needs; some are physically ill, some are sore and bruised by others who refuse to live within holy boundaries – help, ABBA, in JESUS name, we ask for Your help.
