A Quiet Summer

Summer is underway!  The days are long, the nights are short and GRANDS put a smile on my face and a warm glow in my heart!

As we navigate these next several weeks, praying for one another is of utmost importance. Busy days and short nights leave less time it seems to sit quietly before the LORD. I covet the prayers of the saints that times of quiet and refreshing will be the norm and not a rarity this summer. Perhaps you do as well.

15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your trust in the Lord Yeshua and your love for all God’s people,
16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you. In my prayers I keep asking
17 the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the glorious Father, to give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you will have full knowledge of him.
18 I pray that he will give light to the eyes of your hearts, so that you will understand the hope to which he has called you, what rich glories there are in the inheritance he has promised his people,
19 and how surpassingly great is his power working in us who trust him. It works with the same mighty strength he used
20 when he worked in the Messiah to raise him from the dead and seat him at his right hand in heaven,
21 far above every ruler, authority, power, dominion or any other name that can be named either in the ‘olam hazeh* or in the ‘olam haba**.
22 Also, he has put all things under his feet and made him head over everything for the Messianic Community,
23 which is his body, the full expression of him who fills all creation.

Amen and amen, ABBA, for each One who comes here to read and pray, I pray the eyes of our hearts will be open this Summer; that You will indeed give each of us wisdom and revelation; to more and more be intimately acquainted with You; that we will more and more meditate and practice the knowledge and power that You are within us. And we continue to ask for healings of certain Ones so loved and so ill, especially those to the point of death. Many concerns we bring with us here; sort them out, comfort, convict and transform as You will, ABBA, in JESUS name.

Be Hidden in CHRIST my Friends,

Be Hidden in CHRIST,

When It Hurts

The following will speak to someone this morning. It comes from my You Version Reading Plan:

No doctor measures his prescriptions more carefully than God when He prescribes trials for His children. He wants them to know the thrill of complete trust in a never-failing God.

And from that same devotion; the father had lost his job due to illness, one daughter an operation, the other children illnesses, and with financial resources gone the MOTHER said:

“I feel sorry for those who never face what we did because they will not know the wonderful thrill of seeing God miraculously provide in hours of deepest need.”

for God himself has said, “I will never fail you or abandon you.” 6 Therefore, we say with confidence,
“Adonai is my helper; I will not be afraid —
what can a human being do to me?”

Be Hidden in CHRIST,

ABBA, thank You for comfort and encouragement to Your people; thank You for healing the sick and calling the lost to eternal life. Amen and amen.

Goodbyes

My soul is sad as I sit to write. It was 15 years ago that we tackled legal issues together for our mutual lawyer/boss. She was spunky, only a little more than a year older than me and yet somehow I always felt much her junior. She knew her way around the office and she was good to me. Yet the day came when I moved on to greener pastures and tonight I learned my friend moved to the Golden Shore quite peacefully on April 27. Ramona fought a good fight and she kept the faith. Her family celebrated her life on Thursday (National Day of Prayer). I wish I had known. I miss her – just knowing she no longer shares this terrestrial sod with me makes me sad; but I will see her again. And I will see her again for only one reason – she said YES to JESUS and so have I. Have you?

10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”
13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.”

Ramona is not disappointed.  If you were to slip from this earth today — do you know where you would spend eternity?  You can know. This very day you can know.  I John 5:13 Questions? Click HERE for email address.

Be Hidden in CHRIST,

Thank You, ABBA, for the sweet assurance of Ramona’s testimony. Thank You that she lives on and I pray her testimony continues to bring others to repentance and salvation in You LORD JESUS alone.
