So Tell Me (well, you don’t really have to)

have  you recently had a conversation with JESUS wherein You said to Him ‘Thank You for who You are growing me to be’? Have you thanked Him lately for the growth you have seen in yourself? Have you thanked Him that when the plug on that blow dryer cord you were curling up landed square on the bone of the inside of your ankle with a thud, and the only words in your mind and mouth were, ‘oh, that hurts!”. Have you thanked Him lately that you know in your heart of hearts and throughout every corner of your grey matter that He is responsible for every smidgen of right thoughts and actions you demonstrate? And that you are delighted with Him; and grateful to be His Workmanship?

Yes? Good. Keep to it. You are on the right path.

No? :(  Then I have to ask that you may ask yourself: why not?

6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Praying (PFT)!

It’s been a pleasant and pleasing day and I have You, ABBA, to thank for it. Thank You. Thank You.  Reminds me of that hymn: To GOD Be the Glory – I owe it all to You.  And I do.  We all do, every dear soul who comes here to read and to pray, we owe You our applause, praise, gratitude, worship for every work You have done in us. Thank you. And thank You that You are not stopping now. That we can expect You to keep it up. Thank You.  And, JESUS, we come now with our sick and afflicted, asking that You heal them; and with those we love who are dead in trespasses and sins asking that You work with them and get them to the place that they will say YES to You for Eternal Life.  Amen and               .

More or Less

just reporting in today. I am thinking of you. Have prayed for you by name or email address (whichever I have).

We have this word on the 3-year-old we have been praying for:

Just an update on the toddler for whom the prayers were given—he has “perked up” some trying to move about, they have identified the bacteria causing the brain lesions and physicians are hopeful that a dilation of his esophagus will be possible next week.  Our God is an Awesome God.

Sheila is scheduled for surgery May 7. We plead for your prayers in this.

Kathleen has some disturbing medical issues. Prayers for her desired and appreciated.

And there are others.    Praying (PFT)!

It is a beautiful sunny day in Lower Alabama.  A good day to desire to learn to sit quietly before the LORD and enjoy His presence.  That is what I have prayed for us today. Perhaps today we begin a quest to be trained by the HOLY SPIRIT to do this very thing.  :)

21 This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope.

22 The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

24 “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.”

25 The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him.

26 It is good that he waits silently For the salvation of the LORD.

We have the God-given Right to do right in this wrong World,

Again, ABBA, I pray for these and others that we will desire to learn to sit quietly with You, enjoying Your Holy Presence.  And yet in this moment, I do ask that You heal our sick and raise those who are dead in trespasses and sins to eternal life in CHRIST JESUS. Amen and  .

Quiet

can be good.

At the reading of this I hope all of you have rested well; at the writing of this I am fading fast, looking forward to sleep. It has been a quiet Resurrection Sunday for us, albeit a long one. Sunrise service at 6:30; Sunday School, praise and message, lunch, a leisurely ride and a stop at the store for oranges before getting home a bit ago. And through it all has been the sense of His love and presence.  JESUS! Oh what a Savior!!

Psalm 68:
19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah.

35 O God, You are awesome from Your sanctuary. The God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to the people. Blessed be God!
via Psalm 68 NASB – The God of Sinai and of the Sanctuary. – Bible Gateway

Go forth into this new week trusting Him and receiving His strength through it all.

Thank You, ABBA. You are forever faithful to us. It has been a beautiful day; thank You. And now I pray for all who come here to read and pray that each will receive Your strength for every challenge. Amen and . . .   .

Third Monday of 2012.

Can you believe it?

So how is this new year going for you? Did you make New Year’s Resolutions? And are you still keeping them? Just curious.

Did you enjoy yesterday’s You Tube? Have you really meditated the words lately?

1.      Just as I am, without one plea,

but that thy blood was shed for me,

and that thou bidst me come to thee,

O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

2.      Just as I am, and waiting not

to rid my soul of one dark blot,

to thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,

O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, without one plea – no more trying to be good enough! And no more looking for other ways, no more looking to myself or others to save me; finally now standing on only one sure FACT: that the blood of JESUS CHRIST is enough to save ME! And moreover that HE, The Lamb of God, is offering His salvation to ME! And I am saying YES!

Now, isn’t that what this verse is proclaiming? Let us look at verse two.

Just as I am, and waiting not – no more excuses, no more ‘not now(s)’ but today; today is the day! Today I say yes. Today I will be rid of this deep dark emptiness. Today I will be clean; today not one sin will remain clinging to me; today The Lamb of GOD is making me clean. Today I come, just as I am to Him.

There are four more verses. You try it.

1 Chronicles 17:16 The Message (MSG)
16-27 King David went in, took his place before God, and prayed:

Who am I, my Master God, and what is my family, that you have brought me to this place in life? But that’s nothing compared to what’s coming, for you’ve also spoken of my family far into the future, given me a glimpse into tomorrow and looked on me, Master God, as a Somebody. What’s left for David to say to this—to your honoring your servant, even though you know me, just as I am? O God, out of the goodness of your heart, you’ve taken your servant to do this great thing and put your great work on display. There’s none like you, God, no God but you, nothing to compare with what we’ve heard with our own ears. And who is like your people, like Israel, a nation unique on earth, whom God set out to redeem as his own people (and became most famous for it), performing great and fearsome acts, throwing out nations and their gods left and right as you saved your people from Egypt? You established for yourself a people—your very own Israel!—your people forever. And you, God, became their God.

So now, great God, this word that you have spoken to me and my family, guarantee it forever! Do exactly what you’ve promised! Then your reputation will be confirmed and flourish always as people exclaim, “The God-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God over Israel, is Israel’s God!” And the house of your servant David will remain rock solid under your watchful presence. You, my God, have told me plainly, “I will build you a house.” That’s how I was able to find the courage to pray this prayer to you. God, being the God you are, you have spoken all these wonderful words to me. As if that weren’t enough, you’ve blessed my family so that it will continue in your presence always. Because you have blessed it, God, it’s really blessed—blessed for good!

JESUS loves you!
