A Good Difference

An even quieter morning here than other mornings.

It’s a good thing. I’m thinking. Prayer Journaling, actually.

And I am willing to give you a peek with the hope it will make a good difference for you.

You see I often wonder okay what’s ABBA’s will for me.  And even recently I voiced that perhaps I was not abiding in His Will for me well. I think this morning I have some ‘light’.

Who am I? I asked myself.  Okay. Let’s see.

First I am a born-again woman. Spiritually born again by the HOLY SPIRIT because of my faith in and dependence upon the life, death, blood, and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST. So that being true, I am accountable to HIM. And I am reminded of what He expects of me.

Micah 6:8 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

8 Human being, you have already been told what is good, what Adonai demands of you — no more than to act justly, love grace and walk in purity with your God.

via Micah 6:8 CJB – Human being, you have already been told – Bible Gateway.

Okay. That’s my plumb-bob for all my days here on planet Earth. Yet you and I both know there’s a whole lot of avenues to walk under that umbrella.

So who else am I first after being ABBA’s Little Girl?

Jerry’s wife. And what comes with that? More than I am listing here. :) And yet for he and I, in general, and at this season of our life together, I am home and he is at the office. So for the next 8 or so hours, he has responsibilities there and I have responsibilities here. He is expected to conduct himself as a draftsman and I am expected to conduct myself as a maintainer of the premises?   And the way I THINK about that will make my day or break it!

Who else am I?

Mother to daughters. Grandmother to GRANDS. None of them live with us. Even so, there are privileges I have and yes responsibilities I have toward them. So what do I ‘owe’ them today? To love them and point them to JESUS in word and deed. Another huge umbrella of activity! I am getting the idea that ABBA gives us HUGE, HUGE amounts of decisions and freedoms walking this planet!

Romans 13:8 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

8 Owe no man anything, but to love one another, for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

via Romans 13:8 KJ21 – Owe no man anything, but to love one – Bible Gateway.

Who else?

An American citizen in a particular State, City, and Community.  So what are my privileges, and responsibilities here?
To act justly, love grace, and walk in purity with my God?
That will do it, won’t it?

So what is ABBA’s will for me today under the umbrella of acting justly, loving grace, and walking in purity with HIM?

For sure I have a modest, warm, treasured space between four walls, a roof, and a concrete slab to maintain. My Pastor often says (I’ll paraphrase) that God’s House (meaning the building Christians gather in for corporate worship) doesn’t have to be the most elaborate and expensive building on the block but it should be the best kept.  I think that will work for the houses of born-again people too. I imagine Heaven has no clutter or chaos — I think we should practice that while we are here, don’t you?

So as a Momma and Grandmother, what will I do today? The calendar shows I am free of picking up from car lines, doctor visits, field trips, etc. But even so, it will be exciting as I pray for my BABIES to hear what ABBA says will encourage and point them to JESUS today. And look at all the means we have to communicate: prayer, phone calls, texts, e-cards, snail mail cards, Facebook, Twitter; even in-person face-to-face visits! As I said, ABBA has given us HUGE, HUGE amounts of decisions and freedoms!

And finally, as an American citizen, what will I do today to fulfill my responsibilities as an American citizen? What will I do today to make America a better place to live?

I’m not wondering anymore what ABBA’s will is for me today. A whole world fits in His will for me and there are lots and lots of things I can do today that are MY privileges and responsibilities and changing the sheets on the bed, throwing a load of laundry in the washer, publishing this post, and praising HIM while doing it; and much, much more fits His Will for me today BEAUTIFULLY!!

A good difference.

Yep! This post sure has been good for me. And I hope for you too.

Choose

I borrowed this from a Friend’s Facebook page. It’s TRUTH. And we have the opportunity to live it today and perhaps tomorrow. (See James 3:14)

Truth!

Joshua 24:14-16 Amplified Bible (AMP)

14 Now therefore, [reverently] fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and in truth; put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the [Euphrates] River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.

15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

16 The people answered, Far be it from us to forsake the Lord to serve other gods;

And the GOD we CHOOSE today will govern every other choice we make today. Let us choose wisely!

Close Enough!

I do not know who is the Author of this piece but I cannot imagine myself not sharing it with you. I cried and at the end clapped my hands in praise saying Yes, You are! Yes, You are!!

twas’ 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven’s gate.

their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
they could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
they were filled with such joy, they didn’t know what to say.
they remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
“where are we?” asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
“this is heaven.” declared a small boy. “we’re spending Christmas at God’s house.”
when what to their wondering eyes did appear,
but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
and in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring
those children all flew into the arms of their King
and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
one small girl turned and looked at Jesus’ face.
and as if He could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, “I’ll take care of mom and dad.”
then He looked down on earth, the world far below
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe
then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
“Let My power and presence re-enter this land!”
“may this country be delivered from the hands of fools”
“I’m taking back my nation. I’m taking back my schools!”
then He and the children stood up without a sound.
“come now my children, let me show you around.”
excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.
all displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
and i heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
“in the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT.”
Perhaps the scene last Friday morning in Heaven did not go exactly as depicted here but this description is close enough for me to give me great, great comfort!! Close enough for me to see my Holy Savior and give Him praise, worship and adoration!!!

Oh, ABBA, thank You, thank You in JESUS HOLY AND ETERNAL NAME! To HIM be glory forever and ever!!

Blessings of Joy and Peace,

One This Last Day of November 2012

Sara is taking her morning nap; GRANDSON is drinking hot cocoa and watching a movie and I am hoping to say hello in this quiet time. :)

I hope you are not too disappointed that I am sharing YOU VERSION with you again this morning. It really is so good!!

THE GARAGE

Billy Graham tells of a woman who asked, “Why do I need a home?” She said, “I was born in a hospital, educated at a college, courted in an automobile, married in a church. I live out of a delicatessen-tin cans and paper bags. I spend my mornings on the golf course, my afternoons at the bridge table, and my evenings at the movies. And when I die I will be cremated and buried in a brass urn. All I really need is a garage.”

Tragically, millions live like this woman. Our homes often are mere parking places in which we spend a portion of the night, places where we pass our family members like ships in the night. But we are paying a great price for our lives of distraction. A good deal of the violence and chaos of our society results from these unstable homes. God never intended our homes to be mere parking places for busy bodies needing rest and refueling. Rather, homes have purpose, and God’s Word contains directions for their proper use.

God planned marriage so that two people can become together what they could never be alone. Each individual completes the other as they become a unit. However, no marriage can really be complete without a living relationship with God through Jesus Christ. God created marriage, and it is foolish to think it would ever be complete without Him as the foundation.
