Glory on a Page

I am eager to share this with you.

Leviticus 5

This Old Testament depiction of New Testament deliverance is glory on a page.

The early verses of the Chapter set some groundwork.
We are born guilty but without knowledge of it; as we age it gnaws at us that we are not RIGHT with GOD.  See verse 4

At the time of this passage, sin offerings were brought and the priest would offer the sacrifice and make atonement for the sinner.

5 If someone incurs guilt in one of these ways, he must confess the sin he has committed,  6 and he must bring his guilt offering to the LORD for the sin he has committed: a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering. And the priest will make atonement for him concerning his sin.  source

And the priest will make atonement for him concerning his sin.

23 The former priests, on the one hand, existed in greater numbers because they were prevented by death from continuing, 24 but Jesus, on the other hand, because He continues forever, holds His priesthood permanently. 25 Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7 source

Guilt is established. The need for forgiveness is established. Our need for a priest, a mediator between us and God is established.  Our need to be forgiven is established.

And here on an Old Testament page is glory for me.

Verses 10, 13, 16, and 18. Four times we read these glorious words:

you will be forgiven

You will be forgiven!

When the BLOOD of JESUS the CHRIST is applied to our sin account, we are forgiven!

WE ARE FORGIVEN!
The sinners part?
Come.
When you are made aware of your sin by HOLY SPIRIT, don’t run from the Priest, run to HIM and accept HIS offer and You Will Be Forgiven!

Glory on a Page!!

Until Next Time, with Holy hugs, Kathie

A Grand Start

I am returning to a verse of Scripture I read yesterday to share with you this morning.

7 For God gave us a Spirit who produces not timidity, but power, love and self-discipline.

via 2 Timothy 1 KJV;CJB – Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the – Bible Gateway.

He, the Holy Spirit, produces not timidity but power. Power to do what? To love and to discipline myself.  Discipline myself in what way? Every way that does not line up with Love; His love.  What am I doing that does not demonstrate God’s love? Love for JESUS, love for others, even love for myself? Then that is what I have the power from the Holy Spirit to stop doing. That’s what it says. And that’s my mission today. Perhaps you will consider taking on this mission as well. Disciplining myself to cease even just ONE of those things would be a grand start. I like that! A grand start this Monday morning.

I’m Smiling ~ ~ ~   :)

Thank You, ABBA. Thank You for a Grand Start to this day and thank You, HOLY SPIRIT, for the power to continue to love and disciple today in JESUS name.  We remember now to You Jamie and I ask You to heal her, to restore her to health and give her the privilege of serving You more. Collectively as Your people we bring ourselves and those we love for You to regenerate and revive.  Amen and amen.

It’s a Pretty World Today

image

ABBA, for sure You made a pretty world; a world for us to inhabit, a world to demonstrate who You are; help us open our eyes and see. Help us open our ears and hear; to be taught as You speak not only from Your Word and with the LIGHT of the world, JESUS the CHRIST, but all that You created. From this window I see You and You are awesome! Your knowledge and wisdom are beyond my comprehension but I praise You and rejoice in who You are. Your design, intricate workings of all things, one aiding the other, colors, air, sun, gravity, on and on. You are indeed GOD, Awesome GOD. Thank You for loving us.

Psalm 19 (0) For the leader. A psalm of David:
(1) The heavens declare the glory of God,
the dome of the sky speaks the work of his hands.
(2) Every day it utters speech,
every night it reveals knowledge. [source]

Psalm 97

The mountains melt like wax at the presence of Adonai,
at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.
The heavens declare his righteousness,
and all the peoples see his glory. [source]
