Simple and Strong

This morning. Only a verse for us to live today.

1 Thessalonians 5:15  New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Good News Morning

Ephesians 6:
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
14 Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,
15 and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;
16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,

This Passage of Scripture is filled with positives for us living in this negative world.

This morning my focus is For our struggle is not against flesh and blood — I MUST remember this!

It is so important that I keep this Scripture in the forefront when I see media news.  When I hear the voices and see the faces of people so opposed to truth, this gives me strength and courage.

And so I am offering it to you — It’s Good News Morning.

ABBA, thank You for this ministry we have long referred to as IDOKs; thank You for each soul that takes part.  Thank You for this Word that reminds us our struggle is not with people we see, not with news media, not even with Administrations, but rather with him who has deceived so many; thank You for strength and courage.  Thank You for Your Full Armor, thank You for the strength and the privilege of putting it on this morning and wearing it throughout this day and into the night. Thank You for supplying our every need in the here and now. Thank You for Your kindness, goodness to each of us. Thank You for Your kind attentions to every petition and every hurting, needy soul that we bring to You this morning. Thank You in JESUS name for loving us and keeping us safe, and making us strong and well able in You to advance Your Gospel. Amen and amen.

The Great Romancer

I am stunned with delight at a phrase written by Lisa Harper: “We should rejoice with wonder at being romanced by the Lord of the Universe!”  It is my understanding Lisa wrote of this in her book

I think I should like to get it; yes, I think I do!

Being romanced by the Lord of the Universe.

I’d really like to hear/read what comes to your mind as you allow those words to rest easy upon you.

Isaiah 62:5
New Living Translation (NLT)
5      . . .     just as a young man commits himself to his bride. Then God will rejoice over you as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride.
via Is 62:5;ro 15:4;zeph 3:17 NLT – Your children will commit themselves to – Bible Gateway.

Lisa said it this way: God’s perfect countenance splits into a grin, like a young bridegroom when He sees us coming.

Don’t you love that? Oh, I do!!

Romans 15:4
New Living Translation (NLT)
4 Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.
via Is 62:5;ro 15:4;zeph 3:17 NLT – Your children will commit themselves to – Bible Gateway.

Zephaniah 3:17 New Living Translation (NLT)
17 For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”
via Is 62:5;ro 15:4;zeph 3:17 NLT – Your children will commit themselves to – Bible Gateway.

Again, Lisa’s paraphrase is — He courts us with living letters describing His great love for us and He serenades us with songs of delight and deliverance.

My goodness! that is good.  Hope it blesses you today and gives you cause to love JESUS more and cause you to read The Bible more and more.  Me too!

There are prayers to pray! Praying (PFT)!

While shopping at a local mall,  I spotted a man with an acronym on his shirt that had B.A.D. Me, being the person that I am (curious), stopped the man and asked, “What does B.A.D. stand for?” And trust me, you’ll be amazed at what his response was.
