Soul Detox

Popping in today to make you an offer that I am hoping you will not refuse.

A 35 day soul detox program.  Start date is 1.21.13 at You Version.  Here’s an excerpt from the blog post announcing it.

It’s a 5-week plan called Soul Detox by Craig Groeschel, and it’s going to be a great follow-up to the Fresh Start plan as we are still in the first month of a new year. We’ll begin tomorrow (so wait to click “start this plan” until then so we’re all on the same day!) and it will take us all the way to the 24th of February. Girls, this plan is a life-changer.  via Moons, Detoxes and WHOOSH!.

So pray over it today and if you are in click HERE and start the program with me on 1.21.13 – that’s tomorrow!

For more information about this Soul Detox click above at Moons, Detoxes and WHOOSH!

It seems to me that a SOUL DEXTOX will do me good so it is likely that my post here at THE WHITE STONE will be BRIEF for the next 35 days; that will allow you and me to concentrate more on detoxing for JESUS’ glory.

So I am hoping you will faithfully stop in here at THE WHITE STONE and then join me over at SHE READS TRUTH for the next 35 days. And if you are a mind to, drop me an email or comment that you will be taking the plunge. :)

Ready to Detox?

Yours, Mine, Theirs and Ours

There is no really deep secret to having a happy home. It simply is letting Jesus have first place in our hearts.

May I shout that out? Shout it out because there are multitudes of unhappy homes all around us; perhaps some of us are living in one. There is a remedy.

And yes I have heard the arguments.

It’s him.

If he will put JESUS first I will.

Why should I be the one when he won’t?

The answer is simple.

Do you want peace or not?

One thing stands between turmoil and peace: pride — yours, mine, theirs and ours

James 4:6 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

6 But He giveth more grace; therefore He saith, “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”

via James 4:6 KJ21 – But He giveth more grace; therefore He – Bible Gateway.

When we feel GOD is resisting us or at least not doing what we want? There could be many reasons for His delay; even so have we carefully examined ourselves for pride in ourselves?

1 Peter 5:5 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility; for “God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.”

via 1 Peter 5:5 KJ21 – Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves – Bible Gateway.

Got some heavy trials? Got some miserable situations?

Seek an elder – a wise woman with some godly age on her who will share the WORD with you and then practice what the WORD says.

And not to leave the men out here. Seek out a wise man with some godly age on him who will share the WORD with you and then practice what the WORD says.

Is this remedy easy? No it’s not – that’s no secret either. If it were easy everybody would jump on it. Only the humble and the brave will take on this remedy. But you know, the end results of this remedy is a whole lot easier to handle than the results of refusing this remedy.

It’s really a no-brainer – don’t you think?   :)

Even so let compassion move us and let us pray for one another. As my dear friend Janet says: “Life’s hard but GOD is good!”

Blessings for a holy weekend,

Please pray for Janet and family – visitation is tonight and memorial service tomorrow. Dawn’s (S) surgery is this morning. Kerri, Leon, Dori, Terri, Carolyn, Penni, Sheila, Melinda, Patricia/Todd – just to name a few dear Ones who need prayer warriors to intercede.

This Phrase

I’ve been reading a lot today. In fact other than steam cleaning the kitchen floor, that’s about all I have done. I don’t think I have even made up my bed! Oh well.

Perhaps it is not a new word but for sure it is not one of familiar use for me.

umbrage

I came across it reading today; but that’s not all. This is the phrase that really made me sit up and take notice:

He held His God in the highest esteem

via The End Time: Take umbrage, Brethren!.

I told its author that the HOLY SPIRIT had highlighted that for me and that I would like to use it but more than that I want to LIVE IT!

Elizabeth tells us well in the aforementioned post that we Christians must start right now this very day to hold our GOD in the HIGHEST ESTEEM. I would be much pleased if you would pop over to The End Time blog and read the whole piece for yourself. Click the link above and it will take you there.

On a personal prayer request note.

I have a few.

My friend Janet’s Mother left for HEAVEN today. We have happy tears for her and sad ones for Janet and her family.
I have another friend, Dawn, who is battling in the legal system with her, we hope, soon to be former husband who refuses to hold GOD in esteem as evidenced by his criminal conduct as well as his immoral and adulterous pursuits. Yes, I’m upset about it. Yes, I am offended.
One of my much-loved son-in-laws, Greg, had oral surgery yesterday – he hurts but he went to work today anyway.
That’s just a few. I have more but I’ll not name them all.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for praying. Thank you for being my Friends.
