BE ANGRY.

That’s a strange command from GOD, wouldn’t you say?

Be angry.

I have to tell you I have no problem with being angry! I have an endless supply of things about which to be angry. The troubling part is my anger is most often connected to people. People I can’t get to. People with whom I cannot obtain an audience. Do you know what that puts my beloved through?! :) So I SO need what I’m about to share with you.

Obviously ABBA is intimately acquainted with anger. I am going so far to say that it would be sin if we were not angry about certain matters. Strange as it sounds: Times arise when we NEED to be angry. So we got that part. But then what?

Be angry BUT

Don’t sin in your anger.

Let me get this straight. It can be a sin to NOT get angry and it can be sin to be angry.

Let’s read the rest of the verse.

Don’t let the sun go down before you have dealt with the cause of your anger.

Deal quickly with the root of anger.

When we are angry we must immediately ask why am I angry?
Do I have a natural right to be angry?
Do I have a supernatural need to be angry?

The answer is crucial.
It dictates how we proceed.
It dictates how we process the anger and WHEN we process the anger.

For you see improperly processed OR unprocessed anger turns to a noose around our own heart and will choke the life out of us.

So. Are you angry today? Were you angry yesterday? And was it about the same matter? When will you deal with it? The command is plain. And the MASTER is ready, willing and able to help us process it.

Process and Proceed or
Stew and Die –
it’s our choice.

Be Hidden in CHRIST,

ABBA,as I said matters about which to be angry seem endless and I don’t want to sin either way; by refusing to care enough to be angry about sin and injustices abounding around me or to respond in an unholy way or to simmer and stew about it but do nothing to help right wrongs or help rescue others caught by sin and maltreatment from others. I pray You will call; and an army of praying, holy living Christians will arise to do good in this world. Thank You for reminding me. Thank You for turning the light on, ABBA. And I pray for grace to walk in that very light. (Isaiah 61).
Thank You too now for the privilege of praying for Jamie, Terri, Lance, Carol, Rick, and some Others whose names I don’t recall but I remember their families asked. And always remembering Kerri, Dori and every person in the hearts of all who come to this page to pray. Thank You for this screen, thank You for these people, thank You for loving us. Thank You for watching over us and taking care of us. Thank You for making love, wisdom, truth, faith, forgiveness, strength, peace, comfort, joy, and all the helps we need available to us; all that is left is for us to choose and receive; HOLY SPIRIT, help us let You help us. Thank You LORD JESUS for living, dying and coming to life again forevermore. Increase our desire for You, to love You, co-labor with You and when it’s time see Your holy face, face to face. Thank You, LORD.

A walk in the yard

I am late for a Monday morning hello. Perhaps I can make amends with pictures from the back yard. That’s where I was after seeing my beloved off from the drive this morning. We worked in the yard on Saturday. I have the pink shoulders to prove it. No picture of that. :)

We do not have a show place of a yard – far from it. But we have some beauty there. As is said: ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder.’

Take these blooms for instance. To some they are ‘weeds’ good only to be mowed down. To me they are patches of beauty that bring a smile to my face every time I see them. So I transplanted some of these ‘weeds’ from the boundary line between our neighbors and us to a bed beneath the window. When I step out back, they greet me. I am hoping they spread and fill the bed. image

Perhaps you will have to look close to see but these are strawberries. Last year’s plants that made it through the winter in a makeshift greenhouse positioned over them. Since adding the cow manure and cedar shavings they are growing great. We are hoping!!image

Calla lilies. Purchased them a couple of weekends ago. One of my favorites.  Just about any lily has my attention and appreciation. image2  I am but a rose from the Sharon, just a lily in the valleys.

This one is special too. As Daisies run a close second in the race for me as to beauty in the garden. These are also last year’s planting. Oh to be as hardy as these Daisies. You see they came through the winter to bloom again without the protection of a makeshift greenhouse. The cold rendered them dark and curled but Spring came and they revived! Revival is a beautiful gift – oh! that the Christian Church would receive such a gift from our CREATOR.

See the splotches of white in this next picture? Those are orchids. Wild, in a sense. And they grow only in the shade. When we brought them to Sioux Street from a treasured friend in Fairhope, along the fence in the shade seemed to be the only place we had to put them. To my delight they have multiplied! But they are so far from the house. So on Saturday we decided to move a couple to a now shady spot closer in view.  image

And this morning I got a glorious surprise while walking in the yard. Oh I hope in a few years they have multiplied as the ones along the fence.

Sorta reminds you of Solomon doesn’t it?

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Be Hidden in CHRIST,

Thank You, ABBA, for this beauty right in our own backyard. Help us all to see the beauty in our own backyards – the natural and the supernatural. Help us learn who You are from what You have made and what You have said. Create in us a longing to KNOW You. Really know You and appreciate You. Abba, I am in this moment reminded of an article I read earlier today. It was not pretty. It was as ugly as man gets. It praised itself for hating You. And demanded others to hate You too all in the name of tolerance and patriotism. ABBA, forgive them for they know not what they do – that is what You said, YESHUA. Please help me from my heart to say the same. And, HOLY SPIRIT, protect the minds of young ones who are brow beaten with this hellishness; protect them and provide others with Your Truth to come along side and under gird them. And I dare not pray just for mine but for every Reader with a military loved one I pray for strength to stand and believe the TRUTH. It seems we have a greater enemy within the ranks than across the way. Even so LORD JESUS we trust You and we choose to rejoice because You are alive forever. Thank You for allowing us to live in this time and place. Thank You for attending JamieTerri, Lance. We are grateful for every good and strong day they have and even for other days that You still use for their good. Thank You, LORD. Carol comes to mind too. Not sure how to pray or what to ask but Your Will to be made plain. Continued strength and courage for Dori, Kerri and Pam. And thank You, thank You for Josh’s no cancer report! Thank you, ABBA. The morning is nearly spent here, I pray the investment brings a harvest for Your glory and our good. Amen and amen.

Storms & Smiles

Psalm 57 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

2 (1) Show me favor, God, show me favor; for in you I have taken refuge. Yes, I will find refuge in the shadow of your wings until the storms have passed.
3 (2) I call to God, the Most High, to God, who is accomplishing his purpose for me.

via Ps 57 KJV;CJB – Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful – Bible Gateway.

Until the storm passes by – a refuge in the storm.

Yes, may each of us find refuge in the Shadow of His wings until the storms have passed.

And what of storms?
They are scary and yet a peculiar excitement captivates us when they come. It’s the power, I think. Even the beauty of them. There was one in particular. I watched safely from the floor of my kitchen through the patio door. HE was with me. Yes. He is indeed our Refuge in storms.

But there’s more: Verse 3

The storms come to accomplish His purpose in us. And perhaps as we accept Him as our refuge His purposes become clear.  Or not. And if not — we still have the refuge! :)

Enjoy the video — if you like Southern Gospel. :) And if not – perhaps I’ll catch you next with some Third Day or Toby Mac. :)

Be Hidden in CHRIST,

Thank You, ABBA, for calling us to Yourself – our Place of Refuge. And there’s a dear family in need of You; and again, I ask You for a textbook perfect surgical procedure for Josh and a complete recovery. And Jamie and Terri, Kerri, Dori, Lance, Carol, Rick and Others. Thank You for taking our petitions, LORD JESUS, and presenting them to ABBA just the right way. And, ABBA, Some One’s dear Face I see in this moment; heal her heart and, HOLY SPIRIT, help her take refuge in You even now in this moment. And there’s Another and Another, it’s like their souls are hemorrhaging; please help them agree to let You stop the bleeding. Bleeding. I still see the picture – 26 weeks. Judge thinks he has legal grounds so no it’s not murder. You know differently, I agree with You. Forgive Him, LORD,have mercy; give grace and space to repent. Grace and space for many repentance[s], I pray. Awaken us, ABBA. Peace and protection for Israel I pray; revival for the proud Church; and Your comforting and strengthening Presence for the Persecuted Church and many more things that come to this place in the minds of each Reader – bless them, strengthen them, empower them to believe and receive in JESUS’ name. Amen and amen.
