I Needed This!

Read this.

Romans 5: 6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Messiah died for the ungodly.  source

For while we were still helpless.

Does that mean we are no longer helpless?

How often do we feel helpless?

Based on these words of Holy Writ are we helpless?

Does this really mean since we have been saved by the Son of the Living God we are no longer helpless?

Since we have exchanged our sin for His righteousness have we been helped?

Have we been lifted out of our helpless estate?

What’s that song? Oh yes!

Listen, watch for those words – helpless estate.

It is well! In Christ Jesus! We are no longer helpless! Whatever comes – we are no longer helpless, not in death and not in life!!

I needed this!

No Ordinary Great

On my way to somewhere else I stopped by Genesis 15 today.

Verse 1.

After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. source Genesis 15:1.

Fear not He said. I am your shield and your exceeding great reward. Exceeding great. Not just some ordinary great but exceeding great reward.  He indeed is!

And then verse 6.

And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith. source

And he believed the Lord!

Do we get that?
He BELIEVED the Lord!

You know what occurs to me? Believing the Lord is an exceeding great reward! The gift of believing God is bigger than my vocabulary!

Just believe Him!

I love it!

Happy Tuesday Dear Friends!
